Check out this kiddo putting in the work in OT! In this activity, snapping buttons and placing stickers on a vertical plane helps promote wrist extension, which is the position needed for skills like writing and cutting. Working vertically also supports visual attention and coordination, encourages kids to use both hands together, and strengthens the forearm, wrist, and shoulder muscles.

All of these muscles work together to build the foundation for fine motor skills needed for everyday tasks like handwriting, cutting, and manipulating small objects. 💪✋
