Has our work at Montana Family to Family benefitted you over the last five years? If so, please read on for important information.

We are a federally-funded program and one of many -- Each state (and some reservations) have an F2F to serve their entire state. All F2Fs are staffed by family members of children with disabilities, just like ours.

We are still working to obtain federal reauthorization of the Family-to-Family Health Information Center (F2F HIC) program. We need your help to support this effort. HR 1435 is a bipartisan resolution in the house in need of co-sponsors. House delegates have expressed they haven't heard enough from their constituents about why the program is important to consider co-sponsoring. Our focus is conducting outreach to Montana's House delegates explaining why this program is important and requesting they co-sponsor HR 1435.

Please see the post below from Indiana Family to Family with all of the information you might need. If you have any questions, please reach out to us. And most importantly, if MT F2F has benefitted your family or others that you know, please share this widely across your MT networks.

We love serving Montana families -- it is a privilege to do so -- and we want to keep doing so!

The Wyoming Institute for Disabilities University of Wyoming has a great learning series for families. The next one is on November 12th: This session will focus on the nervous system and how it plays a role in co-regulation and self-regulation. An understanding of the nervous system allows for caregivers to know how to regulate their emotional response, which in turn can aid in co-regulation with their children. More information and registration can be found here: https://shorturl.at/LSIma

Hey amazing Montana parents and caregivers! We're putting a call out for your insights on reviving those game-changing Evaluation & Diagnostic (E&D) clinics (the one-day expert team assessments that wrapped up in 2018, often via DEAP in spots like Missoula, Bozeman, and Miles City).

If you joined one back in the day, your quick thoughts on what worked, what didn't, and how to make 'em even better, will shape the future for families statewide. It's super easy, anonymous, and oh-so-impactful!

By Montana Families, For Montana Families

The Montana Family to Family Health Information Center (MT F2F HIC) is led by families of children with special health care needs. It’s hard. And if you’re interested in this page, you already know that. Our F2F is all about finding resources in Montana, and sharing those discoveries. We’re about lifting each other up, and sparing another family some hardship with tips and information gained through hard-won experience. To become a trusted and valued resource, we need to hear from you. What resources have you found helpful? Do you find valuable support in online groups and web sites? What has been your greatest frustration in getting your child the care or therapy he needs? Are you looking for face-to-face connection with other families traveling the same path? Let’s build this Center together, letting our needs shape and define it. Welcome! We’re glad you’re here.
