Hope for a better COVID treatment may be here. Dr. Walt Peschel has developed a combination of already-approved medicines to treat the virus, and Missoula leaders are urging the FDA to fast-track clinical trials for the Missoula physician.

The timing couldn't be better with COVID-19 cases on the rise and the Omicron variant spreading rapidly. Getting approval to conduct an officially recognized study on local COVID patients hasn't been easy. In fact, sometimes it can take months or years to get FDA approval for drug and treatment trials.
