*Always take a binder on an empty stomach.

🤧Support for respiratory illness - that isn’t a supplement:

1. Minerals: I could write a book on why you need extra minerals while ill, but simply put, lemon mineral tea is a great way to get minerals (mineral salt) with a dose of vitamin C and a soothing warm liquid for your throat. We burn through our minerals when we are ill. This also helps hydrate, which is critical for recovery.

2. Epson salts/magnesium flakes have an alkalizing effect. When we’re in a more alkaline state our immune system can fight illness better. It also helps muscles relax and improves circulation and lymph movement to help fight a virus.

Magnesium flakes are magnesium chloride, and Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate. We use magnesium flakes due to better absorption. You can find this through Perfect Supplements, the brand is Ancient Minerals.
Code: KFHEALTH10 for 10% off.

3. Nasal rinse, steam inhalation & deep breaths. Steam inhalation can be performed in a hot shower or by putting hot water in a bowl and inhaling the steam that way. I like to add an essential oil such as Lavender or Tea Tree. Nasal rinses can be incredibly helpful in removing buildup and clearing your sinuses - this can be done with a Netti pot or Xlear nasal spray (found on FullScript). Nebulizing is another great way to help clear your sinuses! Let me know if you want more resources for nebulizing. Deep breathing exercises help expand the lungs and remove excess fluid, and can also help with clearing your sinuses.

Headaches can be quite complex. This post skims the surface of areas to explore that could be causing the headache. The goal is to find what the cause is to help prevent future headaches.

1. Food: an elimination diet is good first step and can be done at home. Start with each food group and give it at least 2 weeks, but usually takes up to 30 days.

2. Many different mineral deficiencies can cause headaches, the most common are in this post. Magnesium glycinate before bed can be a good start - see my favorites in FullScript. Working with a practitioner for lab work and functional medicine testing (such as hair tissue mineral analysis) may be needed to explore your mineral deficiencies.

3. Blood Sugar Dysregulation: this might be one of the most common causes I see. To further explore, you could wear a continuous glucose monitor to see what foods are causing the dysregulation in real-time. Berberine can also help regulate blood sugar.

4. Liver support: herbs such as milk thistle, turmeric, artichoke, Schisandra, and dandelion root can be helpful. See my doctor’s supplement store for these herbs. Also, Perfect Supplements has a liver detox capsule, code: KFHEALTH10 for 10% off.

5. Hydration: Remember to add minerals to your water to help proper hydration on the cellular level.

6. Manage stress: multifactoral. Neuro Emotional Technique can be helpful to find the root of your stress. Comment “NET” and I can help you find a NET-trained provider near you.

7. Chiropractic: if you are in the Missoula or western Montana area, check out . Message me for recommendations for acupuncture.

8. Homeopathy: individual remedies can be found on my FullScript. But you may need to work with a homeopathic provider. I recommend following .enlightened.homeopath

Hopefully, this was helpful to you!
