We’re taking a look back as we move forward. 🎞️

We recently found these photos from our groundbreaking ceremony in 1998. Back then, PHC started as a bold idea: a collaboration between private physicians, the Missoula County Health Department, and local hospitals to ensure everyone in Missoula had access to healthcare.

While our legal structure changed on January 1st to become an independent nonprofit, that original spark still guides us today.

From a pilot project in 1989 to serving over 18,000 patients today, our growth has always been about one thing: breaking down barriers to care. We are proud of our history with the County and excited to step into this new future as an independent nonprofit organization, still dedicated to the same mission that brought everyone together in these photos all those years ago.

Happy "Sweet 16" to the Creamery Building! 🎂🧱

Sixteen years ago today—January 13, 2010—we cut the ribbon on this beautiful building and officially made it our home.

What started as a hub for dairy in the early 1900s has transformed into a hub for health. While we love the modern additions that allow us to offer Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, and Pharmacy services all under one roof, we are just as proud of the history held in these original bricks.

A huge thank you to our friends at MMW ARCHITECTS for their vision 16 years ago. They managed to preserve this historic Missoula landmark while creating a welcoming space for our patients.

Big news for the New Year! 🎉 As of January 1st, Partnership Health Center has officially separated from Missoula County to become a fully independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Rest assured: We have NOT gone “private.” We remain a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), meaning we are here to serve everyone—regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

While our legal status has changed, your care has not.

🏥 Same Care: You will see the same smiling faces and expert providers.
💼 Same Team: No jobs were lost in this transition.
💙 Same Mission: Breaking down barriers to health in Missoula.

"This transition will help us be more responsive to the healthcare needs of our patients," said our CEO Lara Salazar.
