I am lighting the JRMG tionight (10/17/18) through the weekend (Saturday 10/20/18) in honor of Joseph D. Rice. Grandpa Joe Rice passed away on Monday, Oct.15th, in California at the age of 91. He is resting at peace now after many years in a nursing facility. His family will arrive to celebrate him at Sunset Memorial Chapel at 1:00 p.m. this coming Saturday, (10/20/18) with internment to follow the service. We are hoping to see some of his many friends from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Montana Safe Hunter Program which he supported through donations of his time and expertise for many years here in Missoula. RIP Grandpa Rice!

I am lighting the JRMG tonight in honor of our dear friend and musical comrade, Ray Riggs. Ray passed away today, August 25th, 2018 in Florida. His musical contribution to our lives and work was most special and we will remember him always!..for the good times! Here's to you, Ray! Rest in Peace!

THe JRMG has a new website! You can find it under www.jeanricememorial garden.com. The garden will be undergoing a dramatic transformation soon, as the city of Missoula is taking the West yard for sidewalks , parking and bike lanes! We are hoping for a 'compromise' for the boulevard area so that it can remain JRMG. Wish us LUCK..and comment here if you wish to, regarding this change..Thank you!

Today the JRMG is being attended and lit in honor of our dear departed one, Tim Ishler in honor of his Natal day, 3/13/1959. Tim would have been 59 years young today! We miss him and his enormous musical presence, every day! His 'passing' was June 22nd, 2008. We'll see you again in "the sweet by & by" Tim!

Tonight the JRMG is lit in honor of Eugene 'Sonny' Shebesh..the famous Concertina player of Chicago in the 1930's/40's. We (Angel Band) will play a funeral service for Sonny and his family and friends at Missoula's 'St. Francis Xavier' Church, tomorrow, August 1st, 2017. RIP dear friend, Sonny!
