Employee of the Month – February 🌟

Please join us in congratulating Princess from our Great Falls office as our February Employee of the Month!

After moving to the United States just eight months ago, Princess has embraced both the challenges and opportunities of starting a new chapter. In the seven months she has been with CMS, she has consistently demonstrated dedication, resilience, and a strong commitment to growth, both professionally and personally, as she adapts to life in a new country.

Princess describes CMS as more than just a workplace, but an extended family. Each day brings new learning opportunities, plenty of laughter, and a shared commitment among the team to support clients with care and professionalism, even in the most challenging situations. She is especially grateful for the supportive leadership that encourages growth and creates an environment where everyone can succeed.

Outside of work, Princess enjoys cooking and baking for loved ones, spending time with her husband during movie marathons, and exploring her passion for music and the arts.

We are proud to have Princess as part of the CMS team and grateful for the positivity, dedication, and energy she brings to the office every day. Congratulations on this well deserved recognition! 🎉

Last Saturday our team traded compliance reports for chew toys… and honestly the puppies thought we were doing a great job. 🐾

We spent the day volunteering at the Humane Society of Western Montana helping wherever we could. We made treats, crafted toys, wiped down kennels, spackled a few walls, took photos of adoptable animals, and of course spent plenty of time playing with some very sweet residents.

Safe to say productivity was high, although some of our supervisors were much more focused on belly rubs than quality control.

To make the day even better, Compliance Monitoring Systems will be sponsoring three adoptions through the end of March. If you’re thinking about adding a new family member, reach out to us and we’ll help make it happen. 🐶🐱

Huge thank you to the The Humane Society of Western Montana for the incredible work they do every day caring for animals in our community. These animals deserve the best homes, and we were grateful to spend the day helping out.

This International Women’s Day, we are proud to recognize the leadership and vision of our founder and CEO, Jodine Tarbert.

As the founder and majority owner of the largest privately owned criminal justice monitoring company in the United States, Jodine built Compliance Monitoring Systems on a foundation of integrity, innovation, and meaningful impact within the justice system.

When asked what advice she would offer women who want to build something meaningful in their careers, her response centered on one guiding principle:

Build something that aligns with your moral compass.

Understanding the problems that matter most to you creates the conviction needed to pursue real solutions. When purpose drives the work, resilience and persistence naturally follow.

Throughout her leadership journey, Jodine has also emphasized several key lessons:

• Lead with integrity. Success grounded in strong values is always more sustainable than success built on shortcuts.
• Seek mentors who challenge your thinking. The best leaders are those who continue learning and growing.
• Welcome honest feedback. Constructive perspectives strengthen ideas and improve outcomes.
• Remain adaptable. Building something meaningful requires the courage to evolve.
• Treat failure as information. Setbacks are opportunities to learn and move forward with greater insight.

She also reminds us that sustainable leadership requires investing in well being and maintaining healthy boundaries. And perhaps most importantly, meaningful work is never built alone. The mentors, colleagues, and partners who walk alongside us are part of every success.

Today, and every day, we celebrate the women whose leadership, resilience, and vision continue to shape our communities and industries.

Happy International Women’s Day.

Last week our team had the opportunity to attend the Montana Narcotics Officers Association (MNOA) Training Conference in Butte, Montana. It was a great experience connecting with agencies and professionals from across the state who are all working toward safer communities and stronger public safety systems.

Hearing directly from law enforcement, corrections, and other justice professionals about the work being done across Montana was both insightful and inspiring. Conferences like this are a powerful reminder of how important collaboration is between agencies working in different parts of the system.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to represent Compliance Monitoring Systems and to hear firsthand how the tools and services we provide support the important work agencies are doing in their communities.

Thank you to the organizers and presenters who made the conference such a valuable experience. We’re excited to bring what we learned back to our work.

Our team recently participated in Core Correctional Practices (CCP) training at the Montana Department of Corrections in Helena. Over two days, we focused on strengthening evidence-based skills designed to enhance effective supervision, communication, and behavioral interventions within correctional and community supervision settings.

The knowledge and tools gained through CCP training directly support the work we do within our Enhanced Transitional Supervision Services (ETSS) program. ETSS offers a structured 12-week, evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) course designed to help participants build practical skills that support long-term behavioral change. Program topics include social skill development, cost-benefit analysis and decision-making, understanding behavior chains, and structured problem-solving strategies.

Continued professional development ensures that our team delivers consistent, research-informed services that promote accountability, skill-building, and successful community reintegration. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue expanding our knowledge and strengthening the quality of services we provide.

Can accountability change lives?

Flathead County’s new Adult Drug Court isn’t an easy way out—it’s a demanding, structured program focused on treatment, responsibility, and breaking the cycle of repeat offenses. As District Court Judge Danni Coffman explains, addressing addiction directly can strengthen families, improve public safety, and reduce recidivism.

This program asks a bold question: What if the justice system didn’t just punish addiction, but confronted it head-on?

Recovery support works best when communities provide accessible entry points alongside accountability and evidence-based practices. Drop-in centers like this create opportunities for connection and stabilization that complement broader treatment and monitoring efforts.

It’s encouraging to see innovative recovery resources expanding across Montana.

The Dynamic Recovery Drop-in Center focuses on harm reduction and peer support, meeting people where they are in their recovery journey
