Crosswinds, in collaboration with Beautiful Minds Recovery Montana and The Fourth D Club, is hosting a Grizzly Football night tomorrow, Friday 10/24 @ 8:30pm at the Fourth D Club. Stephen will be hosting, there will be chips and drinks and folks are encouraged to bring their own snacks! Open to anyone and everyone so bring your friends. This is a recovery friendly event so be respectful. See you then!

It's RFW Member Monday! Today we highlight Crosswinds Recovery in Missoula, which offers 4 recovery homes and outpatient counseling. Crosswinds was an enthusiastic early-adopter of the Recovery Friendly Workplace initiative and continues to support and collaborate RFW's efforts. A huge shout out to the hardworking staff at Crosswinds!

The Housing Advocate Network (HAN) will host a free community event on March 25, focusing on the role that everyday Missoulians can play in addressing houselessness in our community.

Attendees will have the chance to hear firsthand accounts from individuals experiencing houselessness and learn how local community members can make a difference. Local agencies that support those affected by houselessness, including the Poverello Center, Inc., Missoula Food Bank & Community Center, and YWCA Missoula will provide information and opportunities for individuals interested in getting involved.

Additionally, Mayor Davis will share an update on the city’s new housing strategy and outline ongoing efforts to tackle houselessness in Missoula.

The event will conclude with a screening of the new documentary, “Americans With No Address,” which explores the issue of houselessness across the United States and offers broader context to this national crisis.

The event will take place on March 25 at the Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC), located at 216 W Main. Doors will open at 6:00 PM.

While admission is free, pay-what-you-will donations will be accepted at the door.

We’re looking for donations of small safes, bins, totes, and shelving to help us better serve our clients and community.

🔹 Small safes – To provide secure storage for personal belongings for clients living in our Recovery Residences.
🔹 Bins & totes – To help organize and expand our donation closet, where we offer free clothes, shoes, and basic necessities to those in need.
🔹Storage Shelving – To create more storage space and keep donated items easily accessible.
🔹 Hygiene items - (Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, feminine products, etc.)

The Missoula County commissioners proclaimed Dec. 21 as Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day at their Dec. 10 public meeting.

The Poverello Center, Inc. will host a public memorial at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Missoula County Courthouse to remember and honor our homeless community members who died in the last year.

As winter approaches, many in our community face harsh conditions without the proper supplies to stay warm. At Crosswinds Recovery, we are committed to supporting individuals on their journey to recovery, but we need YOUR help to make it through these cold months.

🧥 We are currently seeking donations of winter essentials to help our residents and community members in need:

Coats (all sizes)
Hats, gloves, and scarves
Sleeping bags
Blankets and pillows
Handwarmers
Socks (new, please!)
Warm pants and thermal wear
Your contributions will provide warmth, comfort, and hope to those who need it most. Every item donated makes a difference in someone's life. 💙
