Our NICU has just made history — becoming the first hospital in the entire country to receive a Level III with Surgery designation from the American Academy of Pediatrics. We're also the first in Montana to receive any AAP neonatal designation.

This recognition means families across our region can access nationally certified, world-class newborn care right here at home — 24/7, 365 days a year.

And this year, we're also celebrating 50 years of caring for Montana's tiniest fighters.

To our United Health Care insurance community members. Community Medical Center has spent the past several months working to establish a new agreement with UnitedHealthcare (UHC) — one that protects your access to in-network care in Missoula.

Please join us in congratulating Hannah, one of our incredible NICU nurses, on receiving the DAISY Award!

Hannah was nominated by families who experienced her compassionate care during some of life’s most emotional moments. One parent shared how, even during a stressful and overwhelming time, Hannah remained patient, kind, and supportive—always showing up with a smile and treating their family with dignity and respect.

Another family described her simply: “She is always positive, answers all of our questions, and takes such great care of our baby.”

Colorectal cancer is the 3rd most diagnosed cancer in the US. But the good news is there are more than 1.5 million survivors of colorectal cancer in the United States. Because colorectal cancer is preventable with screening. Colorectal cancer doesn't always show symptoms—that's why it's so important to get screened. If you're 45 or older, it's time to get screened. Find any potential warning signs of colon cancer early, when treatment is most effective. Talk to your provider about scheduling your colonoscopy.

Colon cancer is most curable when found early, and regular screenings are the best way to protect your colon health. Community Medical Center offers colonoscopy procedures as simple and stress free as possible, so you can
take charge of your health with confidence.

Screening should begin at age 45 for average-risk adults. But if you have a family history of colon cancer or other risk factors, you may need to start at 40 or earlier. Don’t wait for symptoms.
