🌍🎶 A Musical Journey Around the World! 🎶🌍

Today we had a truly special activity thanks to one of our own residents, Jim. Jim and his wife Liz have spent years doing missionary work and have traveled to over 80 countries! Along the way, Jim collected a variety of musical instruments from around the world, and today he shared them with us.

Residents played a fun guessing game to see if they could identify which country each instrument came from, while also learning more about Jim’s incredible travels and the missionary work he and Liz have done.

To make the afternoon even more special, our friends from LifeQuest joined us for the fun! It was a wonderful time of learning, laughter, and exploring cultures from around the globe. 🌎✨

Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone at Countryside Living — 20 years of dedication from Irene Hoadley! 💚🎉

For two decades, Irene has been a familiar, caring presence for both our residents and staff. When asked about her favorite part of the job, she didn’t hesitate: “Residents and staff.” That says it all — Irene’s heart is truly in the relationships she builds every day.

Over the past 20 years, Irene says Countryside has taught her the importance of having fun while at work with staff, residents, and family. Her positive energy and sense of humor help make our community a joyful place to live and work.

She shared that the residents make her job special because, simply put, “I love my residents.” And anyone who knows Irene knows that love shows in the way she cares, laughs, and connects.

And here’s a fun fact: some people may not know her nickname is “Crazy” — and we think that just adds to the fun spirit she brings to our community every day!

Irene, thank you for 20 wonderful years of compassion, laughter, and commitment to Countryside Living. We are so grateful for you! 💚👏

Countryside Living has been proudly serving the Mitchell area for the past 20+ years. We are dedicated to serving the needs of our resident and providing the best quality care for all those that call Countryside Living “home.” Whether you are independent living and wanting a bit more peace of mind with 24-hour staffing or in need of additional assistance with the activities of daily living, come check us out at 2100 N Wisconsin.

Your own lifestyle

We understand everybody has their own unique lifestyle; to match this, we have different levels of living and care for your loved ones: Independent Living: Generally for our most active seniors. These residents complete all of their own activities of daily life. They may just want the security of knowing someone is there, if they need them. Assisted Living: For senior citizens who need assistance with activities of day to day life, such as medication administration, laundry services, and/or bath assistance.
