Help us celebrate Mitchell Care Center’s January Employee of the Month, Sabrina Longoria, our transport aide! Residents, family members, and clinics often rave about Sabrina’s compassionate & personable nature, communication, and timeliness. Sabrina is also a CNA/MA and is always willing to jump in to help on the floor when needed. On top of that, she assists with administrative/clerical work! Thank you for all that you do for our residents, Sabrina!

We want to take time to recognize an incredible achievement made by a very special employee’s daughter this past week!

Jazmyn Garcia, daughter of our very own Business Office Manager (Christina Walters), won the Class A- 190lb Wrestling State Championship this week! Jaz had the whole facility pumped! When one of us wins, we all win! Congratulations to Jazmyn and her family!

Did you know that Mitchell Care Center holds a monthly Resident Council Meeting in order to support our residents in communicating their community concerns, offering suggestions, and planning activities that are important to them? MCC’s goal is to ensure that the voices of our residents are heard!

These meetings take place on the first Tuesday of every month and are led by our very own residents with the support of our Social Services Designee and Activities Director.

This month we celebrated the retirement of an employee with over 17 years of dedication to Mitchell Care Center! Yolanda Sandoval has been a part of a long-standing housekeeping crew here at MCC that has gone above and beyond to ensure the well-being of our residents by enforcing infection control practices, ensuring a safe environment; and providing clean and odor free conditions here at MCC that we are so often praised for by our residents, family members, and visitors! We are so happy for you and wish you the best, Yolanda. Happy Retirement!
