I am excited to be able to give back to the community I grew up in and now raising my boys in. I have a degree in Criminal Justice and a background in working for my local school system in various classrooms, my favorite being our special education classrooms.
I assist consumers of all ages by finding the resources to live independently in the community.

Safe Haven REC is proud to serve our communities with free resources and programming. These numbers represent:

Love.

Collectively, we touched over 1500 people's lives in February.

Group settings: support from peers
Individuals: one on one recovery coach sessions
Narcan: lives saved
Transports: access to needs
Jail Hygiene: basic human needs met
Salvation Army: hand up given
Food Pantry: full bellies
Referrals: collaboration among organizations
Street Outreach: community

A Reminder: Medicaid Waiver Amendments Released for Public Comment

Amendments to the CIH, Family Supports, Health & Wellness, TBI, and 1915 B(4) waivers are open for public comment, now through March 18, with a projected effective date of August 2026. We will be closely reviewing the amendments and sharing information as soon as possible. Not all disabilities are visible. We are challenging the myth that only visible disabilities "count." Both visible and non-apparent disabilities can significantly affect a person's daily life. Both deserve understanding, respect, and support.

Safe Haven REC is a 501c3 nonprofit that runs exclusively on donations and grants. To ensure there is no barrier to our services, we do not charge for any programs we offer. This means we do not have a way to generate income beyond donations, grants, and fundraisers.
Our grants pay for our employee's salaries but many of our other programs that our coaches identify as needs for our community are funded by fundraising and donations. See below for multiple ways to support the work we do every day:

1. Sponsor a participant that has a need.
2. Purchase soemthing off our Amazon Wish List
3. Donate monetarily through our website or phone app.
4. Purchase our coloring book on Amazon
