I get asked questions about drinking alcohol and if I consume any personally.⁣
⁣
Sometimes people just assume I don’t because I’m a holistic health coach and alcohol is obviously a poison.⁣
⁣
But to me health is much more than just the physical.⁣
⁣
Yeah, drinking beer or tequila is not going to make my body feel its best. ⁣
⁣
But how will restricting myself make me feel?⁣
⁣
How will going to a bar with my friends and not drinking feel⁣
⁣
Emotionally? Mentally? ⁣
⁣
Perhaps it will take away from the full potential of the experience…⁣
⁣
Maybe it will make me feel disconnected from the rest of the group…⁣
⁣
These two examples deal with more of the mental emotional side than the physical.⁣
⁣
And this is how I look at health.⁣
⁣
The potential drop in my physical health can be worth it if my mental and emotional health are being nurtured.⁣
⁣
I use drinking as the example because it’s the easiest for me to explain this concept and I understand there are a lot of nuances to people’s experience with it.⁣
⁣
But the point remains the same. Health is multifaceted. ⁣
⁣
It’s more than just working out and nutrition. ⁣
⁣
It’s more than just physical health. ⁣
⁣
It’s mental⁣
⁣
It’s emotional⁣
⁣
It’s spiritual⁣

It’s relational
⁣
It encompasses all of the human experience⁣
⁣
And a plan should take all of that into account.⁣
⁣
Plans that don’t are missing several pieces and are costing you lost results.⁣
⁣
