We offer this modern technology called an Optos photo at our office. This example shown above shows an array of conditions that are not typically observed in a healthy eye. (Photo credit: Optos Inc. )

….These images allow us to look inside of the eye to detect a broad spectrum of ocular and systemic conditions.

….The main advantage of these pictures is that it allows us to compare and monitor a patient’s condition at each visit.

Introducing our Optometrist, Dr. Colin Hunsaker!

The need for vision correction was a constant in his family growing up and where Dr. Hunsaker’s interest in eye care began. While attending school at the Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Hunsaker completed various externships giving him unique experiences in pediatric optometry and ocular disease. When not working, he loves to work with wood, read, write, watch movies, and be with his wife, three daughters, and two sons.

Some fun facts about him:

◽️He had an Afro in high school
◽️He used to raise show steers for the county fair
◽️Spicy food makes his ears burn

Introducing our Optometrist, Dr. Matthew Watson!

Dr. Watson is passionate about patient care, connecting with others, and has a fun sense of humor. He is an avid outdoorsman, and enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Kathryn, their four kids, and dog Carl.

Some fun facts about him:

▫️He managed a ranch and has a masters degree in beef cattle nutrition.
▫️He likes to dirt bike and mountain bike.
▫️He hiked to King’s Peak and was narrowly missed being struck by lightning.
▫️When he was a kid he was riding in a volkswagen bus and crashed. He was ejected through the window and landed in a fire ant pile - completely unharmed.

Introducing our Optometrist, Dr. Ryan Hayes!

Dr. Hayes has been an eye doctor for a decade, but his experience with vision care goes way back. Dr. Hayes has great compassion and attentiveness for his patients, coming from a family with extensive vision issues. He is definitely his patient’s favorite eye doctor!

Some fun facts about him:
▫️He knew his alphabet backward before he knew it forward
▫️ He has the largest sweet tooth-rootbeer floats are his favorite! (Better be Henry Weinhard’s)
▫️ He completed a 150 mile canoe trip at the ripe age of 13, a true adventure enthusiast
▫️ He is a self proclaimed “Pun Master”, at least he thinks he’s funny 😉
