We chat with and athlete about her upcoming event Marathon Des Sables ( )! If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that it finished over the weekend and Maggy finished this incredible journey!

MDS is a special race and it was so exciting to be able to share in Maggy’s journey to the start line, and then follow along as she crossed the Sahara Desert and made her way to the FINISH LINE!

Medal Monday 🤟🤟🤟🤟

Team Wildpeak Athlete Bailey Fordahl crushed Moab this weekend. She walked away with second place female in the three hour as training for her first ultra at the end of May, the Backyard. She kept a steady pace and completed six laps of the Stairmaster trail in under three hours. Only Nike athlete Rachel Drake was able to beat that lap count.

Coach was there participating in the three hour as well and says, “ Bailey ran strong all morning and kept a consistent pace. I’m so excited for her to experience her first ultra distance in our hometown of Durango in May. Bailey works really hard and is getting so fast.”

Congrats .fordahl on an incredible performance.

Kudos to all the Team Wildpeak Athletes who got it done this weekend, whether you crushed your race or your training run 💪🏽

Big Congrats to athlete on his finish at 50k a couple weekends ago!

Here are a few words from Mac -

“Happy to come out with some solid work towards my April race, and I put a lot my training (physical and otherwise) into practice in a race environment. Most of all, I was grateful to be a part of a special weekend hosted by some special people, the Miccosukee Tribe in their Everglades homelands.”

This is the toddler who grew up to teach Yoga and Strength classes. Now she’s yelling motivation at athletes and managing 🇪🇸. She’s been inspirational since day one. 🧨

“The Fuel Queen” ➡️ Coach
This is the kid who grew up to be our in-house Sports Nutritionist. She’s the reason you’re finally eating your carbs and fueling those PB sessions. 🥖🥦🍳

Day 1 at Moab Run the Rocks was so good! was all smiles as they crossed the finish line with the unanimous conclusion that Moab is gorgeous and the vibes of this race are pretty special.

At events like this we get the constant reminder of how incredible it is to get to meet our athletes in person, talk about their race, check in on their recovery and cheer them on to the finish line! This is such a rewarding experience for us to see our athletes’ hard work pay off and be there to celebrate with them!

Rest up team! On to Stage 2 tomorrow!

Athlete Shoutout! 📣📣📣

Today we celebrate athlete on her tenacity at a few weeks ago!

Tough conditions led to a DNF but her takeaways are SO IMPORTANT and spot on for all of us; a reflection on the true meaning and beauty of ultrarunning!

Here’s what Kristina had to say -

“This year brought torrential rain and a 40% DNF rate — single track turned to flowing rivers, trails to ankle-deep mud, and climbs into slippery slides. As a 60+ athlete with a long history of knee surgeries, I’m never the fastest — more “back of the pack” grit than podium speed — and that meant facing the worst of the conditions all day and into the night.

But from the powerful Haka at the 4:00am start in Te Puia, the energy was unlike anything I’ve experienced. What unfolded wasn’t just a race — it was a reunion of friends from around the world, all pushing limits together in the wildest conditions imaginable.

At 90K, with battered feet and the cutoff slipping away, I made the tough call to DNF. Yet this one felt different. It wasn’t “Did Not Finish.” It was “Did Not Fear.”

I’m deeply grateful for my incredible crew and for Coach ‘s expert guidance that brought me to the start line strong and prepared. Tarawera may be unfinished business, but it left a mark on my heart.

I’ll be back to earn that elusive Toki Pounamu — the Māori jade symbol of strength, courage, and leadership. Until then, I carry the spirit of it with me.“
