Do you know that there are two types of fiber? Soluble and insoluble. Both have different benefits in your body! Most adults should aim for about 25–38 grams of fiber per day.

Together, these fibers support heart health, metabolic health, and a thriving gut microbiome.

At Elevated Health Moab, we help you:
✔ Learn which foods contain the most beneficial fibers
✔ Gradually increase your intake in a way your gut can tolerate
✔ Use nutrition to improve energy, metabolic health, and longevity

Small changes in what you eat can have powerful effects on how you feel every day.

🌿 If you’re ready to optimize your nutrition and your health, we’d love to help.

A Quick Clarification About Elevated Health Moab

We’ve heard a few questions in the community and would love to clarify who we are.

Elevated Health Moab is not a women’s health clinic, hormone clinic, or primary care practice. We are a Lifestyle Medicine practice serving adult men and women.

Lifestyle medicine is a Western, evidence-based medical approach that focuses on the root drivers of chronic disease through nutrition, movement, sleep, stress resilience, social connection, and substance risk reduction.

We do not replace primary care — we collaborate with it. Our goal is to complement the excellent medical care already available in our community by helping patients implement sustainable lifestyle change.

If you’re curious whether we’re a good fit for you, we’re happy to connect.

We’re excited to officially introduce ourselves as the women behind Elevated Health Moab.

We’re AngieAlexander, MD, and Jessica Walsh, RN — two clinicians who believe healthcare should feel personal, thoughtful, and grounded in real partnership.

We created Elevated Health Moab because we wanted to practice medicine differently. We believe in taking time. In looking at the full picture. In combining evidence-based medical care with practical lifestyle strategies that work in real life. We believe strength, longevity, and vitality are possible at every stage.

Angie brings extensive experience in comprehensive medical care and lifestyle medicine. Jessica brings years of patient-centered nursing experience, strength training, yoga, and a deep commitment to helping people build sustainable health from the inside out.

Together, we’re building a space where you’re heard, where your goals matter, and where your care plan is collaborative — not rushed.

We’re so grateful to serve this community and can’t wait to work with you.

We have spent years working in a rural healthcare, caring deeply for people — but watching them struggle with chronic illness that's very difficult to improve.

Elevated Health Moab was born from a simple belief:
Let's do better.

Better energy.
Better sleep.
Better strength.
Better resilience.

Not through extremes — but through intentional, sustainable lifestyle medicine.

This work is very personal for us. And we are so excited to bring it to Moab.

At Elevated Health Moab, our electronic medical record (EMR) securely integrates with many popular wearables—so your real-world health data can be downloaded directly into your medical chart.

This allows us to move beyond snapshots and track trends over time, including:
• Exercise patterns – duration, frequency, heart rate, and training zones
• Cardiovascular recovery – heart rate variability (HRV)
• Sleep health – total sleep, sleep stages, and consistency

By combining wearable data with labs, clinical visits, and lifestyle assessments, we get a clearer picture of how your body is responding to exercise, stress, recovery, and sleep—in real life, not just in the clinic.

The result? More personalized, data-driven guidance to help you train smarter, recover better, and support long-term metabolic and cardiovascular health.

🌿 Why Your Gut Loves Plants! 🌿
Eating a plant predominant diet packed with fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts, and seeds feeds the trillions of microbes in your gut — and science shows this can boost the diversity and abundance of beneficial bacteria. These bacteria support digestion, immune health, and overall wellness. When your gut microbes ferment plant fiber, they produce short-chain fatty acids that help reduce inflammation.

What Is Lifestyle Medicine?
At Elevated Health Moab, we practice Lifestyle Medicine—a medical specialty that uses evidence-based lifestyle interventions to prevent, treat, and often reverse chronic disease.

That means we don’t just look at symptoms or lab numbers in isolation. We look at you.

Lifestyle medicine focuses on six core pillars:
• Nourishing, whole-food nutrition
• Regular physical activity (strength, cardio, mobility)
• Restorative sleep
• Stress management and nervous system regulation
• Avoiding harmful substances
• Meaningful connection and purpose

This isn’t “one-size-fits-all” advice or quick fixes. It’s personalized medical care that integrates labs, medical history, and real-life habits to create sustainable change.

Our goal is to help you feel strong, clear, resilient, and empowered in your health—now and for the long term.
Lifestyle medicine is not about perfection.
It’s about progress, support, and reclaiming your vitality.
