Update 12/2: We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We enjoyed the sweetest holiday with family—overjoyed and extra grateful for the good news that our prayers have been answered! Mary Davis’ chest CT scan last week showed the area of concern is ALL CLEAR!!!! Which means it must have been an infection that improved with antibiotics—exactly as we prayed, hoped, and wished!!! 🤍
In her unmistakable Mary Davis way of always keeping life interesting and throwing curveballs, she woke up with a rash on Thanksgiving morning. She was generally unbothered by it aside from occasional itching… until yesterday (Monday) morning when she developed a fever, which meant a trip to the ER for evaluation. Her labs were all okay, so she was given antibiotics and sent home—and she has been fever-free since (knock on wood!). The rash is already clearing, and she’s feeling so much better!
The doctors aren’t sure if the rash was caused by the antibiotics she took for the lung infection or if it’s related to the immunotherapy. Obviously we’re crossing our fingers {and our toes} that it’s the antibiotics and not the latter, because the immunotherapy is working!
And how could I nearly forget to mention Mary Davis just had her very first hair cut! 💇♀️ huge moment for our little Pantene hair model 💖
