Fertility journeys can feel so isolating — but no one is meant to carry it alone 🧡

During Infertility Awareness Week, we’re holding space for the truth that the village is needed in this season too. A village that listens without trying to fix, that shows up when life is feeling heavy, that holds hope when it feels out of reach.

1 in 8 couples in the US are impacted by infertility. Here are some practical ways to be the village to your friends & loved ones as they navigate their fertility journey:

🌿 Check in without pressure — a simple “thinking of you, you’re not alone in this” texts go a long way.
🌿 Listen with compassion & skip the advice unless they ask for some.
🌿 Remember important dates like big appointments, anniversaries of losses or would-be due dates, etc & check in around those dates or show some extra intentional care [like this friend of mine, who made this beautiful Infertility Week themed bouquet for our sweet friend to feel encouraged this week 🧡]
🌿 Offer tangible support with meals, errands, going to an appointment if their partner can’t come, etc.
🌿 Avoid clichés like “try to relax & enjoy this season” or “everything happens for a reason” — these just aren’t helpful.
🌿 Keep showing up, even when you don’t know what to say. Ask them what feels helpful in this season.

Support doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be present 🫶🏼

The Better Together workshop is back!! 🎉

Let’s talk about what happens after the hospital bag is unpacked.

Better Together is a postpartum planning workshop for couples who want to prepare for the ways that bringing a baby home can impact a relationship.

In this workshop we’ll walk through some ways to babyproof your connection with:

✔️ Real talk about sleep, stress, and splitting the load
✔️ Tools to protect your relationship (and your sanity)
✔️ Support for physical *and* emotional recovery
✔️ A plan you can actually use when everything feels like chaos

You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Let’s plan for the hard and the heartwarming parts — together.

This workshop is led by certified perinatal mental health specialist Morgan Bradwell, LICSW, PMH-C. For just a little more than the cost of ONE couples therapy session, you & your partner will receive THREE hours of specialized content, materials to continue these conversations after the workshop, as well as a small parting gift per couple.

Introducing the Education Equity Scholarship!

At Village, we believe that quality training, continuing education, & professional networking should be accessible to any & all women’s health providers. We’re committed to breaking down barriers that could keep some women from being able to access & participate in our trainings.

We’ve created this scholarship to allow one provider to attend the Tender Seasons training completely free of charge, and we commit to offering at least one full scholarship spot at any future CE events.
