The Veterans Administration has developed a full suite of apps to provide care and resources for Veterans.

The "VA Online Scheduling" app offers a secure, online way for you to request and self-schedule appointments at VA facilities and Community Care facilities.

As we celebrate “Spiritual Care Week”, we want to thank our two amazing Chaplains who share their hearts, prayers and talents with each of our patients, their caregivers and our staff day in/day out. Les Pierce and Samantha Lightner, we are blessed to call you “ours” and even though we praise your work throughout the year, we focus on you both this week especially!! ❤️🙏🏻

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! Our “Remembrance Winter Event” will be held at our office on December 3rd for all family members of our precious patients that have passed away. Our staff enjoyed a fun afternoon participating in the company-wide “Pumpkin Decorating Contest”. It brought our team together for a wonderful lunch and lots of creative juices were flowing amongst our group. These pumpkins turned out great!!! 🎃

Yesterday, we recognized and celebrated our October “Employee of the Month”. Sissy Cunningham, Volunteer Coordinator, is most deserving of this award as she keeps her calendar full with community events, patient’s needs for volunteer services and overseeing our “We Honor Veterans” program. Her heart is humongous! We are so blessed to call her “ours”. ❤️🎉👏🏻

“Grief Speak” is offered on the second Tuesday of every month and we encourage any and all to dial in, take time to listen, be encouraged and lifted. We are here to serve you. ❤️

We had the most rewarding visit! We surprised our hospice patient with a “We Honor Veterans” Pinning Ceremony. 🇺🇸 We thanked him for his courage, commitment and sacrifices for our freedom. 🙌 He proudly served in the United States Army! Moments like this make you proud of where you work and what you do. 💙🤍♥️

Days like today are “priceless”. We gathered some of our sweet Volunteers together and attended the 199th Annual Salem Camp Meeting on the grounds of Salem United Methodist Church. One of our dear Volunteers is a pianist throughout the camp “revival” week. She invited us to attend their service and then she and her daughter (who is also our volunteer) and her son (who happens to be our Chaplain) provided the most amazing lunch inside their “tent” that they reside in all week. It’s amazing how this foundation has withstood nature since 1826. We are blessed with the sweetest most loving Volunteers and spending time with them is so very special. ❤️
