If you’re looking to support a great cause, please support our first ever fundraiser!!! You’ll get a rack of ribs and a side of beans for $40. And if you don’t want the ribs, we’ll donate them to Ronald McDonald house in your name. Or you can choose to make a donation of any amount. Here are some of the projects we have completed so far. Your donations make it possible for us to keep going.

-Providing blood pressure cuffs for pregnant women/new moms to decrease the maternal mortality rate
-Reducing food insecurity by providing a healthy food pantry for athletes who otherwise may go without a meal
-Annual career day/black history month presentation at an inner city school
-Sponsoring the Teaching Kitchen at USA FREE to participants to learn how to prepare healthy meals
-Medical town halls FREE to the public to allow an opportunity for dialogue between the community and physicians.

We had a great time at The University of South Alabama’s Distinguished Alumni awards where Dr. Patricia Ann Sanders was honored as the first black woman graduate from the Frederick P Whiddon College of Medicine and the first black woman OBGYN surgeon in the state of Alabama. We had a great time today at BABYPALOOZA! We joined our ACTT facilitator, Nia, in getting women registered for the ACTT workshop. The ACTT workshop was created by the Black Coalition for Safe Motherhood in order to improve pregnancy, birth, and post birth outcomes of black families.
