Our Community, Our Commitment

Donald “JoJo” Johnson had a deep love for the music and culture of the 1950s and 60s. He shared that passion by playing and DJing at various events, helping raise funds for organizations such as Child Advocacy, the Ronald McDonald House, and others, as well as supporting individuals in need of medical care and surgeries. His greatest passion was the Pharoahs Car Club, where he proudly served as President of the Eastern Chapter.

We were honored to handle the service for Donald “JoJo” Johnson and to be part of such a meaningful tribute.

Our Community, Our Commitment

We recently had the honor of serving the family of Jon Henderson, a well-known collegiate and high school referee in our community.

Thoughtful displays throughout the service reflected the life he lived, with meaningful items that represented his passions and legacy.

In a personal touch that brought comfort and familiarity to those attending, his favorite snacks, Reese’s Pieces and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, were shared with visitors as a tribute to him.

Our Community, Our Commitment
Due to inclement weather, this year’s Easter Sunrise Service was held in the chapel rather than by the lake, but it was still a meaningful and well-attended gathering. Kade Hornsby of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home welcomed guests as we came together in reflection and fellowship.

We extend a special thank you to our speakers, musicians, and congregations: Pastor David Edwards of Calvary Assembly of God, Pastor Eric Foxx of Home Church, Pastor David Smith of Oak Park Church of God, and Rev. Arnold Oliver of Calvary Assembly of God.

Following the service, guests enjoyed donuts, coffee, and time together in fellowship, with special thanks to Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery for their support in helping prepare for the morning. In the spirit of giving back, donuts were also delivered to the Mobile Fire and Rescue Department – Seelhorst Station, compliments of MMGFH, in appreciation of their dedicated service to the community.
