Day 21 đź’™ Ordinary People.
Extraordinary Impact.

Two school staff members.
One manikin.
One AED.

This past week in Panama City, CemsCpr trained school personnel — something I return to do every two years — because cardiac arrest doesn’t wait.

It happens in classrooms.
On playgrounds.
At ball games.
At home.

They’re not medical trained responders!

They’re educators and staff members who are now prepared to:

âś” Recognize cardiac arrest
âś” Start high-quality CPR
âś” Use an AED with confidence

Early CPR and early defibrillation can double or even triple survival.

When the moment comes, titles won’t matter.

Preparation will.

Every Compression Has a Story.

Day 20 – Bystanders Save Lives!

Bystanders are often the true first responders.

Recently, one of my CPR students shared a story that reminds us why training matters.

While driving on an interstate in Florida, she saw a vehicle weaving before drifting off the road and stopping.

Traffic slowed and continue to pass this car. She pulled over thinking that something was really bad.

Inside the vehicle was a man who was unresponsive, blue, and not breathing.

She removed him from the car with help from other bystanders and moved him safely out of the roadway.

Then she started Hands-Only CPR — just as she learned two years ago.

She directed someone to call 911. When no one stepped in to help with compressions, she continued CPR on her own until fire and EMS arrived. The patient was defibrillated and transported.

He survived!

Two years later.
One class.
One decision to act.
One life saved.

CPR can double or triple survival in cardiac arrest — but only if someone steps forward.

Be ready.
Be trained.
Be the difference.

Day 19 – Workplace Preparedness

Cardiac arrest doesn’t wait for the “right time.”
It can happen at work — on a job site, in an office, in a warehouse, or during a meeting.

Every workplace should have:
✔️ A clearly written Emergency Action Plan
✔️ Trained employees who know what to
do
✔️ An accessible AED ready to use

Preparation turns panic into action.
Action saves lives.

Is your workplace truly prepared?

If you’re not sure, let’s talk.

Day 17 – CPR for Youth 💜

CPR isn’t just for adults.

It’s for our kids.

When we teach young people CPR, we’re building confidence, courage, and the ability to act when seconds matter.

Kids can learn to:
• Recognize cardiac arrest
• Call 911
• Push hard and fast
• Use an AED

Start early can Empower the next generation. Kids can save a life too!

Every Compression Has a Story. ❤️

Day 16 – Team CPR

High-quality CPR isn’t a solo sport.

When cardiac arrest happens, teamwork matters.

Rotating compressors every 2 minutes.
Clear communication reduces delays.
Defined roles improve efficiency.
And coordinated shock delivery minimizes interruptions.

Strong teams deliver:
âś” Better compression depth
âś” Better compression rate
âś” Less pause time
âś” Better patient outcomes

Whether you’re in a hospital, on a plant response team, at a school, or responding in the field — practicing together makes the difference.

CPR quality improves when teams train like they respond.

Every compression has a story.
And sometimes, it takes a team to write it.

If your AED hasn’t been checked this month… it may not be ready when you need it.

Day 15 – AED Readiness 🔋⚡

An AED on the wall doesn’t save a life.
A ready AED does.

Pads expire.
Batteries expire.
Status lights change.

Cardiac arrest won’t wait.

Take 60 seconds today:
âś” Check the pad expiration
âś” Check the battery
âś” Make sure the light is green

Preparedness isn’t just having the equipment — it’s maintaining it.

If you’re not sure what to check or how to maintain your AED program, reach out. We’re happy to help.

Every compression has a story. Make sure your AED is ready to be part of it.

Day 14 - Call - Push - Shock

Around the world, lives are being saved because someone chose to act.

Call: 911
Push: hard and fast in the center of the chest
Shock: with an AED as soon as it's available

Three simple steps!

Once chance to make a difference!

Day 13 – Recognizing Cardiac Arrest

Sudden collapse.
Unresponsiveness.
Abnormal or gasping breathing.

These are not “wait and see” moments.

Cardiac arrest is immediate. It is life-threatening. And it requires immediate action.

Call 911.
Start CPR.
Use an AED.

Early recognition is just as important as early CPR. When you know what to look for, you don’t hesitate.

Seconds matter.
Your response matters.
Every compression has a story.

There’s a difference between completing a requirement and preparing to carry responsibility.

The LPN students at Tom P. Haney Technical College are preparing for responsibility.

I watched their focus, discipline, and drive firsthand. They don’t rush through skills. They practice until it’s right. They want to understand — not just pass.

Healthcare demands confidence and competence. This program is building that kind of professional. These amazing students are the future of healthcare.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.

❤️ Day 12 – Anyone Can Save a Life

You don’t have to be a healthcare provider to save a life.

You don’t have to have a title.
You don’t have to wear scrubs.
You don’t have to be “old enough.”

You just have to be willing to learn… and willing to act.

Lifesaving skills aren’t limited to a profession.
They’re passed down.
They’re practiced.
They’re empowered.

Cardiac arrest doesn’t ask who you are.
It only asks if someone is ready.

Because every compression has a story.
