Anyone who knows me, knows I have a soft spot in my heart for WWII veterans, especially today, 74 years since the Pearl Harbor attacks.

2 weeks ago, I had the honor of meeting Delton Walling at the Pearl Harbor Memorial. He was there the day of the attacks and served with honor in the pacific front of the war.

He told me he was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness so he decided to book a one-way ticket to Hawaii so he could live out the rest of his days telling anyone he could about WWII and Pearl Harbor. He arrived there the day before we visited.

Attached is a short bio that he had made. Meeting him moved me to tears, and I just want to make sure his story gets out there. So take some time today to remember the greatest generation and all the other veterans who put themselves in harm’s way for our freedom.

Theodore M. Kopp, MD, MS

What To Expect During A Nerve Conduction Study And EMG Test

Nerve conduction studies (NCSs) and electromyography (EMG) tests help doctors determine if your muscles or nerves have been damaged and, if so, how to treat you. This video will help you with preparation for the tests, how the tests are performed, and what is done with the results.

The video was produced by the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) of which Dr. Kopp is a member.

NuVasive® XLIF® is a minimally invasive surgical procedure which our surgeons at Pinnacle Brain & Spine Center have used to effectively treat spinal instability.

The XLIF procedure is different from traditional anterior (from the front) or posterior (from the back) surgical procedures in that it does not require entry through sensitive back muscles, bones, or ligaments. Instead, the spine is approached from the side of the body, through two small incisions.

XLIF offers a less invasive alternative to traditional open spine surgery.

As members of SOLAS (Society of Lateral Access Surgery) Pinnacle Brain & Spine Center surgeons have successfully employed the XLIF technique (eXtreme Lateral Interbody Fusion) in numbers procedures such as Metastatic tumors, Corpectomy (removal of and reconstruction of vertebral bodies), Thoracic discs, adjacent level degeneration of previous fusions, routine spine stabilization and scoliosis.
