Hello Everyone! My schedule is open for bookings starting May 18! I'm excited to finally reopen and see you all again.
I have a medical air purifier in each treatment room that filters particles down to 0.1 microns in size. (COVID-19 is 0.12 microns).
I will not be charging cancellation fees, except for no-shows, so please cancel your appointment if you are not feeling well. Please give me as much notice as possible, but I understand if you suddenly do not feel well and need to cancel, so please call of text if this is the case.
Other policies to ensure we are all as safe as possible are:
1. Please wear a mask. If you are receiving a facial you can remove the mask during your facial.
2. Please stay in your car until your treatment time and call or text me when you arrive. For new acupuncture and skincare clients I will be doing your intake over the phone while you are in your car . I will email you the new client paperwork and please have this filled out when you arrive. I will come out to your car and get your paperwork so I have it in front of me while we are on the phone. If you are a current acupuncture patient coming in for a NEW problem then please call, text or email me to let me know so we can discuss your new concerns over the phone while you are in your car.
3. I will have a hand washing and temperature check station when you walk in and ask you to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. I will check your temperature if you have not already taken it that day. Please try to remember to take it before you come.
4. I will ask you COVID-19 screening questions and have you sign a consent to treat form:
Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?
Do you now, or have you recently had, any respiratory or flu symptoms, chills, sore throat, or shortness of breath?
Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms?
5. I will also be wearing a mask and gloves for facials (gloves are now required for the entire facial). Gloves are not required for acupuncture, but I am happy to wear them if you are more comfortable. I will of course continue to wash my hands before and after each client/patient. The Board of Cosmetology is requiring us to wear a new smock for every client.
6. All frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected after every client/patient. This includes doorknobs, sink and toilet handles, pens, my cell phone and credit card processor. Sheets and towels have always been changed after every client and washed with bleach.
7. To minimize the number of people inside, if you bring anyone with you, they will need to wait in the car. If you are early for your appointment you will also need to wait in your car until I am ready for you. We can't have people sitting in the waiting area. I will also be allowing more time between clients so you will come into contact with the least amount of people as possible. If you do see another client at my studio then please continue to practice social distancing and stay 6 feet away.
8. Please let me know if you would like a glass of water in a plastic cup, a mint or a cough drop. New policies by the Alabama Department of Public Health do not allow me to have these out in the open for anyone to touch.
