Tina S Howard, MA, LPC-S

Tina S Howard, MA, LPC-S Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is an experiential therapy in which clients learn about themselves and others through hands on activities with the horse.

The focus is on human skills, not horse skills. Specific treatment goals are identifies but sessions are process focused. Activities can be designed to create metaphors for "real life," with sessions structured and facilitated to address the reasons clients came for therapy. Activities can be designed to work on relationships and emotional regulation by developing a healthy relationship with the horse.

✨ Renew Your Mind. Restore Your Peace. ✨
“He restores my soul.” — Psalm 23:3
Microcurrent Neurofeedback is a gentle, non-invasive adjunct to mental health care that supports the regulation of the central nervous system—helping the brain and body move toward the balance and peace God designed them to have.
🧠 This FDA-registered neurofeedback technology uses ultra-low microcurrents to encourage the brain to regulate itself, release stuck patterns, and function more optimally.
💙 Often used to support:
• PTSD & trauma
• Anxiety & depression
• Insomnia
• ADHD
• Addiction recovery
• Emotional and mental clarity
🌿 What to expect:
✔ Short, painless sessions
✔ No active effort required
✔ Sit comfortably and rest
✨ Many clients report clearer thinking, improved emotional regulation, and more restorative sleep—allowing space for healing, renewal, and growth.
If your mind feels overwhelmed or your nervous system feels stuck, know this: healing can be gentle, and you don’t have to walk it alone.

Looks like Punxsutawney Phil says six more weeks of winter ❄️🐿️
While the days may still feel long and gray, this is a gentle reminder to take extra care of your mental health, especially if seasonal depression tries to sneak in.
✨ A few small but powerful steps:
Get outside when you can—even brief sunlight helps
Keep a simple routine and move your body a little each day
Stay connected with people who lift you up
Be kind to yourself—this season won’t last forever
Spring is coming 🌷 Until then, give yourself grace and keep choosing hope, one day at a time. 💛

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9

God is not asking you to be stronger. He is inviting you to be honest.

Don't make your spouse have to guess what is going on in your brain. Say what you're thinking and feeling. Your spouse isn't a mind reader.

The holidays can stir up joy—but they can also magnify stress, grief, loneliness, and exhaustion. If this season feels heavy, please know you are not weak and you are not alone. Scripture reminds us, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). God is close to you in this moment, even when peace feels out of reach.
Give yourself permission to slow down, to breathe, and to release the pressure to make everything perfect. Rest is not a failure of faith—it is an act of trust. Sometimes God brings healing through prayer, community, and also through wise support.
If the weight feels too heavy to carry alone, seeking counseling can be a courageous and faithful step. Counseling is not a lack of belief—it is one of the ways God provides care, clarity, and hope through others. You deserve support, especially during seasons that ask so much of you.
May you experience God’s peace—not the kind that ignores pain, but the kind that gently carries you through it. Don’t postpone JOY 🎄
