Pine Crest Funeral Home and Pine Crest Cemetery have served families in and around Mobile, Alabama, since the early 1900s. Located on Dauphin Island Parkway, off Interstate 10 and adjacent to Brookley Air Force Base, this funeral home and cemetery also serve communities on the east side of the bay, including Spanish Fort, Daphne and Fairhope.
Pine Crest Cemetery was founded in Mobile by the Luce family. The 1st burial took place there in 1906. The Luces owned and operated the cemetery for many decades, finally selling the business in 1987. Over the years, Pine Crest's commitment to the community evolved to meet a growing demand for services. As a result, Pine Crest Funeral Home opened on the cemetery property in March 1994.
Pine Crest Funeral Home is a welcoming space, with plenty of natural light, comfortable furnishings and soft, soothing colors.
With seating for up to 150 guests, the funeral home chapel includes a state-of-the-art audiovisual system with multiple television screens and CD/DVD capabilities. A large floor-to-ceiling window behind the chapel altar provides a sunny backdrop for daytime services. The space may also be used as a reception space.
The funeral home also has 2 parlors for visitations, family gatherings or catered receptions. The larger parlor accommodates 25 to 30 guests and can be sectioned off into 2 smaller rooms. The smaller, more intimate parlor accommodates 15 to 20 guests.
Pine Crest Funeral Home also has a coffee lounge and ample parking.
Heritage House is a building separate from the funeral home that can also be used for receptions and catered events. It has a kitchen and can hold groups as large as 60.
Pine Crest Cemetery
Established in 1906, Pine Crest Cemetery comprises 150 acres of gently rolling hills. The full-service cemetery offers a wide selection of burial options among large oak trees and tranquil waterways, including traditional in-ground burial, lawn crypts, bench estates and more.
Chapel of the Pines mausoleum is a beautiful indoor option for above-ground entombment and cremation interment in glass-front and bronze-front niches. Outside the mausoleum, there are granite-front niches that can be engraved. Tranquil Oaks is a space for reflection outside the mausoleum. It has a fountain and cremation benches. Pine Road Estates was developed for private built-to-suit mausoleum entombment.
