The FDA has officially announced it will remove the long-standing “black box” warning from many forms of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) used to treat menopause symptoms.

This change reflects updated research showing that, for many women, especially those under age 60 or within 10 years of menopause, the benefits of HRT can outweigh the risks when used appropriately.
