Fish! I don’t know what kind. This is from one of my trips to the Hudson River in the Highland area. But we don’t need to know what kinda fish it is to use them in bone throwing.

Fish are of the water spirits which has meaning in the realm of emotions. More specifically they live in the water, under the waters surface.
Soooo they, in my readings hold a strong meaning of needing to deal with the emotions that are beneath the surface. The ones that are being kept to one’s self. Those are the emotions that need to be addressed at the moment.

Capital Campaign – Chapter 4: Raising the Roof 🐾

After years of protecting the animals in our care, our roof is showing its age, and it’s time for a critical update.

Our current roof has endured decades of harsh weather, and we’re now seeing signs of wear that threaten the safety and comfort of the animals, staff, and volunteers inside.

A new roof will mean better insulation, reduced energy costs, and most importantly a dry, safe, and secure shelter for every cat, dog, and human who walks through our doors.

As part of this project, we also plan to:
✨ Whitewash the brick for a fresh, welcoming look
✨ Add a new front entry airlock to improve safety and energy efficiency

This project is a big one, estimated at $75,000, but it’s essential to ensuring we’re here for the next 50 years.

Happy new calendar year. Why calendar year? And not happy new year? Because the winter solstice just started 11 days ago. How is it a new year when winter just started? It’s cold. Everything is still freshly in slumber. A new year is when the Earth begins to awaken, the animals have babies, everything becomes new again. That’s when it’s a new year. So happy new calendar year. Hope everyone had a great holiday.

I haven’t processed an animal in along while. I know it’s a lot of work but I forgot how much work, time & patience it takes.

Porcupine’s message: When she shows up she informing you that you already know that you have to wear your protective armor at all times, so why are we playing victim.
Now is the time to resist the barbs of others and to not engage. Engaging feeds the unnecessary drama. You are the one who controls whether it gets shut down or carries on. So if you’re complaining that people won’t stop your the reason. Make different choices.
The definition of insanity is to continue to do the same thing over & over expecting different results.
