We were proud to deliver a ton of toys that will make their way to a child in need this holiday season and are exceptionally proud of our employees who generously donated and volunteered their time. We had an incredible experience at this week's 2025 CalCIMA "The Magic of Materials Education Conference" in Anaheim, CA. 🏰 The "Materials Intelligence: The Magic of AI” panel session was moderated by our Chief Information Officer, Vijay Kumar. The session brought together industry leaders including Ben Rabchuk from Command Alkon Incorporated, Leanna East from CalPortland, Ino Tsichrintzi from Mapistry, and Jack Cove from Pathways.

The panelist conversations delved into the transformative power of AI across our industry, from enhancing heavy building materials operations and revolutionizing waste management to streamlining compliance processes and enabling sophisticated data transformations.

A key focus of the session was moving away from isolated "islands of data" toward connected systems that enable better operational efficiency - such as precisely tracking material deliveries to prevent production interruptions. The ultimate goal is creating a more integrated ecosystem where data flows seamlessly between systems, making compliance easier and operations more efficient. ✨

The presentation acknowledged industry challenges: increasing regulatory requirements, data management burdens, and the reluctance of companies to share data online despite potential benefits. Particularly fascinating were the discussions around AI-driven production optimization and automated environmental product declarations (EPD). We extend our appreciation to the panelists for bringing their expertise and insights. 💫

The Reed Carseum participated in this year's Escalon Veterans Day Parade, supporting our local heroes and community traditions. 💫 We were especially privileged to see Grand Marshal Mike Christensen leading the parade. He is the Commander of Escalon American Legion Post 263 and served 24 years in the US Army. 🎖️

👑 The parade also featured Miss Escalon 2025, Gianna Wilson, adding to the community spirit of this meaningful event. Community engagement remains one of our core values. We believe in honoring those who serve and supporting the towns we call home. 🏆

🚛 The 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Modesto event brought together hundreds of local families for a day of exploration, learning, and fun. The event, hosted by the Modesto Chamber of Commerce, continues to grow each year as a beloved community tradition. Visitors had the unique opportunity to get up close with an impressive lineup of heavy machinery and specialized vehicles including a loader, scraper, excavator, D2 dozer, roller, 7/11 Materials cement mixer truck, VSS Macropaver truck, water truck, and generator/film truck.

✨A highlight of this year’s event was our popular pet 🪨rock kits. Our team distributed 400 of these creative kits to young attendees. The kits have already inspired many young minds, with families sharing photos of their completed projects. Events like Touch-A-Truck represent the heart of our community engagement that provides education and allows our team members to connect directly with the communities we serve.

Join us for Touch-A-Truck on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the MJC Ag Pavilion, presented by the Modesto Chamber of Commerce. This free, family-friendly event offers kids and adults the chance to explore trucks, tractors, and equipment from local organizations including police, fire, EMS, construction, and more, while enjoying vendors and entertainment. Proceeds benefit scholarships through the Modesto Chamber of Commerce Foundation, supporting education and career opportunities in our community
