📣 Recently, team members from George Reed Inc and Reed Family Companies recently attended the 2026 CalCIMA Legislative Summit and Lobby Day in Sacramento. Attendees included Kenny Cooper, Frank Coelho, Scott Williams, Matt Eala, Sean Harrigan, and Ian Davies.

Held at the Capitol Event Center in Sacramento, the Summit brought together leaders from across California’s construction materials industry to engage directly with state lawmakers. Throughout the event, industry representatives discussed the economic impact of construction materials, advocated for environmentally conscious and sustainable practices, and highlighted legislation affecting our industry. 🌱

The Summit’s program featured presentations from key state leaders, including Assembly Transportation Chair Lori Wilson, Senate Majority Leader Brian Jones, and the Assembly Appropriations Chair Buffy Wicks, as well as insights from Caltrans, the Department of Conservation, and an Industry CEO Roundtable.

We extend our thanks to CalCIMA for hosting this important event and to Assemblyman Juan Alanis for supporting discussions that help strengthen California’s infrastructure and environmental stewardship.

👷‍♀️✨Celebrating Women in Construction Week! Reed Family Companies is joining the nationwide recognition of Women in Construction Week, led by the National Association of Women in Construction. This year’s theme, “Level Up. Build Strong.” underscores the leadership, momentum, and long-lasting contributions women bring to every corner of the construction industry. 💪🏗️

From job sites to strategic planning rooms, women continue to elevate standards, strengthen collaboration, and create opportunities for the next generation. Throughout this week and the entire month of March, we’ll be highlighting the women across Reed Family Companies whose commitment, expertise, and creativity inspire us daily.

This week, team members from Reed Family Companies (RFC), George Reed Inc, and VSS International, Inc. attended the National Asphalt Pavement Association 2026 Annual Meeting event in Scottsdale, Arizona. Reed Family Companies was presented with the NAPA 2025 Community Involvement Award.

In 2025, RFC launched and expanded a wide range of initiatives that demonstrate our commitment to service, health, education, and environmental stewardship, while encouraging strong employee participation at every step.

The NAPA Annual Meeting brings together industry leaders to share insights and celebrate excellence in the asphalt pavement industry. This year's NAPA Annual Meeting featured two inspiring keynote speakers:
