Feeling stuck doesn't mean you're failing. It means you're learning, growing, and building strength you can't see yet.

Because growth isn't always loud. Sometimes it looks like rest. Sometimes it looks like a small step forward.

Be patient with yourself. 💙

Brain Injury Awareness Month

The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) has designated March to raise awareness about what is a significant cause of death and impairment in America. There are more than 5.3 million people in the U.S., including children, who are living with permanent brain injuries.

During the month of March, BIAA has designated the theme “My Brain Injury Journey.” They want to remind us that every individual story deserves to be told—and it’s up to us, as survivors and supporters, to tell them. BIAA wants as many survivors as possible to share the story of their unique brain injury journey, because when more people know the truth about brain injuries, the fewer misconceptions our community will face.

Weekly Maximum Temperatures Forecast
Chart from the National Weather Service showing forecast high temperatures for March 16–22 across Northern California cities including Auburn, Chico, Marysville, Modesto, Red Bluff, Redding, Sacramento, Stockton, and Vacaville. Highs range mostly from the upper 80s to mid-90s, with several cities expected to reach 92–94°F mid-week. A side panel warns of well above normal temperatures, possible cooling late weekend, and advises checking on sensitive people and monitoring the forecast.

Potential Record-Breaking Heat Graphic
National Weather Service Sacramento graphic warning of possible record-breaking early-season heat. Forecasts for Thursday, March 19 show temperatures around 91–92°F in Redding, Red Bluff, Sacramento, Stockton, and Modesto. The graphic compares the earliest recorded 90°F dates and notes that these cities usually reach 90°F in early to mid-May, with 45–85% chance of reaching 90°F Thursday.

Heat Impacts: Vulnerable Populations
Safety graphic showing people most vulnerable to extreme heat: pregnant individuals, newborns, children, older adults, and people with chronic illness.
