TCDI
Two amazing programs providing independent living skills for adults for Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities. VCDI & TCDI are all-inclusive programs focusing on independence for adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities through effective integration into their local communities, as well as vocational preparation, placement, and maintenance. Through innovative and inclusive trainings, our programs work to assist clients reach their goals for independence and employment in the community. Using technology and our unique professional office space, our trainings are interactive for all participants via virtual or in person. The VCDI programs trainings focus on vocational hard and soft skills as well as direct employment in the community. Through roll play trainings, hands on resume and application trainings, clients are well prepared for finding direct employment. Whether it is their first job or a new job, our training support first time employment as well as upward mobility. VCDI also provides Job Coaching both in our facility and at the clients place of direct employment. Many of our clients currently employed find this support to be very helpful in the beginning and during time of upward mobility. The TCDI programs training focus on community integration and independent living skills. In the VCDI & TCDI building, we have many breakout training areas where small groups can work on and practice skills that will be incorporated in hands on, out in the community activities. For example, budgeting for grocery shopping in the office leads to a trip to the grocery store for a real life enactment. Additional at VCDI & TCDI we believe in having a fun, innovative and practical approach to providing services and advocating for the community that we support. Through social media we have developed content that can be viewed by both clients and not clients. On our Facebook and Instagram pages we provide a variety of fun and educational training and discussions. On our YouTube channel we have our daily episodes of The Morning Routine where we discuss various topics and have a lot of fun along the way.

They have a Spotlight Category for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). The team needs to have one person in a prominent role (Writer, Director, Actor, Editor, Etc.) that lives with IDD. For those that are unfamiliar, this foundation puts on a prom event every February all around the world for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, even right here in Modesto, typically held at Shelter Cove church!
