WELCOME TO YOUR LYMPHATIC SYSTEM!!!!
It is a vital part of the immune system, defending the body from infection and disease. It's a network of organs and tissues that transports nutrients, circulate bodily fluid, filter out unwanted substances. Did you know it also does....
Filtration: Lymph nodes filter lymph fluid, removing bacteria, viruses, and other foreign substances.
Immune defense: Produces and releases lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that fights germs and abnormal cells.
Nutrient transport: Absorbs fats and fat-soluble vitamins from the small intestine.
Blood pressure: Helps maintain blood pressure.
Heres some easy lifestyle things you can do that aren't massage related to keep your lymphatic system healthy!
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to support lymph flow.
Exercise regularly: Engage in moderate-intensity activities like walking, swimming, or biking to stimulate lymphatic drainage.
Reduce caffeine and alcohol intake: These substances can dehydrate the body and impair lymphatic function.
Get enough sleep: Sleep allows the body to repair and rejuvenate, including the lymphatic system.
