Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care

Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care We Bring You Refuge. The hospice team works to make the patient comfortable while relieving their symptoms and pain for the entire length of the illness.

When given the news of a life-limiting illness, we have the choice of continuing to live with dignity, while remaining pain and symptom free. We are able to achieve this in the comfort of our own home (or, indeed, anywhere else that we call home) surrounded by those we love, those who mean the most to us. When medical care cannot offer a cure, hospice provides care, comfort and support for persons with life-limiting conditions as well as their families. At Oasis Hospice, we believe in affirming life and exist as a refuge for our patients and their families. We aim to improve the quality of life for our patients as they deal with life-limiting illnesses.

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

— Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

As the world becomes increasingly turbulent, our prayer is for those in positions of leadership and influence to pause and reflect on Dr. King’s legacy of service.

At Oasis, this is a value which guides our every day. Here, we remain committed to providing exceptional care with respect, compassion, and dignity for every human being we come to know as family; regardless of background, belief, or circumstance.

That’s the standard we hold ourselves to, not just today, but every day.

This past week, our team had the privilege of spending time with students at Heather Hill Elementary in Flossmoor, and what a gift it was.

Jesi Gadomski led a team of volunteers, including Ms. Mary Beth Beno, and Toso Haruna, to join her in spending time with some incredible kids. We read books, decorated cards, and shared perspectives about the importance of caring for the elders in our community.

Their curiosity, compassion, and eagerness to learn reminded us why this work matters so much.

We're honored to partner with local schools to plant seeds of empathy and understanding. These children asked beautiful questions, shared their own stories of caring for grandparents, and reminded us that dignity and respect transcend age.

As we celebrate this holiday season, we're especially grateful for moments like these—where we can give back, connect, and affirm the value of life at every stage.

If you or a loved one are navigating end-of-life care decisions and want to learn more about compassionate, dignified hospice support, we're here to help you make the best decision for you.

Well done team. 🤎

Well done team. 🤎

This Thanksgiving, we had the privilege of continuing our tradition of delivering full holiday meals — including an entire cooked turkey generously provided by Pete's Fresh Market — to families we serve across our community.

This is the heart of our vision in action: showing up, supporting families, and making sure no one walks through this season alone.

A special thank-you to our Foundation Director, Gabrielle Bello, whose leadership and commitment made this initiative possible. Also to every volunteer who helped pack, deliver, and greet families with warmth — this work simply wouldn’t happen without you.

We are so grateful to be able to do this work, and as we continue through the holiday season, our mission remains the same: compassion, community, and care for those navigating life.

Thank you to all who help us make an impact that matters.

Happy Thanksgiving, from the Oasis Foundation
