By Appointment Only- If you do not have an appointment to float, please call before you come in to make sure we are here. Float Quad Cities has two, state of the art float rooms available. The float can be extended to 90 minutes for an extra $10. Visit FloatQC.com for information about floating, pricing information and to get your float scheduled! Floating is the art of doing nothing! You simply float in a light and sound proofed room, on 10 inches of water filled with 1,000 pounds of epsom salt. The water is around 35% salt, compared to the ocean, which is only 3%. This provides for effortless floating and relaxation. Float tanks were invented in the 1950's, and people have been using them for many years, including many professional athletic organizations. Also known as sensory deprivation or isolation tanks, floating has a ton of benefits, and more research is being done on floatation therapy everyday. Sensory deprivation sounds scary, but it is not. By giving yourself the opportunity to experience an environment free of distractions (like light and sound), your brain can relax and focus on other important things. It is not unusual for people to have huge breakthroughs during or after a float. Floating is also great for learning faster or practicing a speech or presentation. Other benefits include:
- Deeper meditation
- Faster muscle recovery
- Better sleep
- Stress reduction
- Chronic pain relief
- Relieve inflammation
- Replenish magnesium
- Improve mental clarity
- And much more...

Another amazing benefit of floating is absorbing huge amounts of magnesium through the skin. Magnesium is the "master mineral" and is critical for over 300 functions within the body. And most people are deficient. It is possible to ingest magnesium through your diet, but let's face it, most people don't eat the amount and quality of food needed to maintain optimum levels of important vitamins and minerals. Our skin is an incredibly efficient way to absorb magnesium, so you can imagine that floating in epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) is going to have huge benefits for you.

Weird. Awesome. Amazing. Different. Unique. Bliss. Refreshing.

All common float therapy descriptions that we hear regularly.

A hug from heaven.

Never heard that one before until one of our regular clients said that her float was so perfect, it felt like a hug from heaven.

Wrapped in warmth. Totally supported. Nothing to worry about. Floating in a bliss bubble.

We say she is right.

Unpopular opinion. Being bored is not bad.

Being bored is a common fear that keeps people from benefitting from float therapy.

We're used to having constant stimulation at our finger tips through our phones, social media, work, news...all the stuff.

Your brain is constantly being overloaded with dopamine. And you start requiring more and more.

Have you heard the term "dopamine detox?" One of the withdrawal symptoms is boredom.

Feeling bored in the float cabin is actually your brain resetting and healing it's dopamine receptors.

Everyone's experience is different, which is what's so special about float therapy. Healing for your brain and body!

Our renovation of the "Old Miller's Florist" in Moline is progressing! All 3 new float cabins are set up and in place, but not connected yet!

The float cabins are the most complicated part of the entire project.

We had some delays with the building department, but the BIG 3 - electrical, HVAC and plumbing - are moving forward!

This is a HUGE project, and pretty much everything is going to be new in this 100+ year old building!

We were hoping for a March opening, but not happening. So fingers crossed we'll be ready in a couple of months.

FloatQC WILL be hiring, so if you are interested in being on our team, we will put you on the list! We need awesome, dedicated team members ready to make a difference in many lives.

Thank you for your support and for following along! It's fueling the entire team right now!!!! ~Aaralyn, Owner

Serious question. Have you thought about it?

One of our float clients asked me if I, as the owner, float alone, with no one else around. I said yes, of course.

She said, OH, I could never do that! I felt so safe knowing you were in the lobby!

Over the years, I have made the conscious effort to worry less and trust Jesus more.

Stressing about things that haven't happened and that I can't control, conversations I can't change...just creates anxiety and actually magnetizes more of what I don't want.

When I started asking if worrying was actually helping me, I started seeing the truth of it. NO, it was not.

Many of our clients come in for their first float, after years of hesitation and "thinking" about it.

It's not unusual to hear, "I was worried about nothing!!!"

Our brains are wired to worry, unless we actively work on catching it, changing it and trusting more.

So I'm curious - how has worrying improved your life?

Notice anything missing? This is a historic moment for Moline. Miller's Florist lived in that building for over 60 years, maybe more!

In 2026, it will become FloatQC's new home.

The former owners closed Miller's Florist in 2019, and the building sat empty for years, waiting for a new owner.

So many of you have shared wonderful memories of Miller's Florist!

Connie Champion, former owner, shared that this building is "good luck" and full of happy memories because she absolutely loved her job.

We are honored to fill this building, once again, with love and care for the QC community and many wonderful memories!

(The address is 3615 27th Street, Moline. Our renovation is still ongoing. We've had more unanticipated delays, but things are moving along. Hoping to be open in a couple of months. Stay up to date through social media and/or our newsletter.)

Drew floated last night to recover from being harassed on the internet. Which we did with his permission 🤣

Our 2 posts about Drew's face after planting lots of trees and shrubs at our new (coming soon) wellness center location in Moline got over 300 likes!

We're thinking of making him our official mascot. What do you think?!

Floats have been pretty close to 100% booked the last couple of weeks thanks to YOU!

Cannot wait to have more float cabins!!! Hoping we'll be ready in a couple months! 💃💃💃

Context. This is Drew. Last fall, he planted a bunch of trees and shrubs around the property at our new (coming soon) wellness center location in Moline.

I told him that if he took some good selfies (we've got some good jokes going about his mustache), I would post them, and if the post got 100 likes, I'd give him two floats!

Well, he just sent them to me last week. 5 photos, all with the same look as the "before." And this was the best one he sent.

I said, "Dude. If I post any of these, people are going to think you're high. I can see the comments now."

🤣🤣🤣 Hilarity ensued, and he conceded that I was right. Drew was not high on anything except his love for digging in dirt and gravel.

Then he sent the "after" picture. Apparently that little gem was hiding out on his phone.

And thus, this post was born. Please like it. Drew put a lot of effort into his face in the "after" photo. ~Aaralyn, Owner
