By Appointment Only- If you do not have an appointment to float, please call before you come in to make sure we are here. Float Quad Cities has two, state of the art float rooms available. The float can be extended to 90 minutes for an extra $10. Visit FloatQC.com for information about floating, pricing information and to get your float scheduled! Floating is the art of doing nothing! You simply float in a light and sound proofed room, on 10 inches of water filled with 1,000 pounds of epsom salt. The water is around 35% salt, compared to the ocean, which is only 3%. This provides for effortless floating and relaxation. Float tanks were invented in the 1950's, and people have been using them for many years, including many professional athletic organizations. Also known as sensory deprivation or isolation tanks, floating has a ton of benefits, and more research is being done on floatation therapy everyday. Sensory deprivation sounds scary, but it is not. By giving yourself the opportunity to experience an environment free of distractions (like light and sound), your brain can relax and focus on other important things. It is not unusual for people to have huge breakthroughs during or after a float. Floating is also great for learning faster or practicing a speech or presentation. Other benefits include:
- Deeper meditation
- Faster muscle recovery
- Better sleep
- Stress reduction
- Chronic pain relief
- Relieve inflammation
- Replenish magnesium
- Improve mental clarity
- And much more...

Another amazing benefit of floating is absorbing huge amounts of magnesium through the skin. Magnesium is the "master mineral" and is critical for over 300 functions within the body. And most people are deficient. It is possible to ingest magnesium through your diet, but let's face it, most people don't eat the amount and quality of food needed to maintain optimum levels of important vitamins and minerals. Our skin is an incredibly efficient way to absorb magnesium, so you can imagine that floating in epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) is going to have huge benefits for you.

I say it. You say it.

"I've been meaning to check that place out!"

But that doesn't help our local businesses that need your support!

With all the snow, I want to stay inside just as much as you do, but...

I'm challenging myself to visit these 6 places before the end of the year:

Endless DEALS (Rock Island, 30th St & 14th Ave)
Thai Flavors (Moline, near Jewel)
Crafted QC (located in LeClaire, Iowa)
Blue Spruce Bakery (Downtown Davenport)
Rescued (Silvis!)
Corazon Latino Restaurant Bar (downtown Moline)

I challenge you to comment below with the businesses you've been meaning to check out or haven't been to in awhile! And then go see them!

Put it on your to do list!!!

I'm also going to choose 1 (maybe 2) people randomly from the comments to win a float! Every comment = more chances to win! ~Aaralyn, Owner

Inspired by real life. Myself, and a client.

I opened a float center. I love to float. I typically float every week, regardless of if I feel like it or not.

I know I need to float. But sometimes, my mind wins.

---> I'm too busy.
---> I don't feel like it.
---> I have too much I need to do.
---> I feel fine.

I talk all the time about how transformational float therapy is for our body and mind. People literally emerge after their float, telling me they feel like a new person!

One of our long time clients who comes once a month pretty consistently, got off track a bit.

When she came in, I expressed how happy I was to see her. After her float, she said she always feels so amazing and sleeps so well.

She hadn't been sleeping well, which is what prompted her to come back in to float.

She said that even though she hadn't been sleeping well for awhile, and knew she needed to float, her mind just gave her a bunch of excuses.

Essentially, downplaying the transformation she experiences with float therapy!

It's crazy what our mind does, sometimes. Makes excuses for why we shouldn't help ourselves feel our best.

Book a float. Keep the appointment. You will be glad you did.

This is what's happening, literally underground, at the building we are renovating in Moline!

This is one of 20ish supports going in underneath where the float cabins will be.

Each one weighs 3500 pounds, but with the supports, we're good to go 17,000 pounds PER AREA. Overkill? Maybe.

But no worries of falling through the floor. 💪💪💪
