Our residents enjoyed a festive outing to Central Standard in Davenport, Iowa—where the Christmas decorations are truly next level! From sparkling disco balls and twinkling lights to oversized snowflakes and garland everywhere you look, it felt like stepping right into a holiday wonderland ❄️ 🎄

After a delicious lunch and soaking in all the cheerful sights, we jumped right into more fun—decorating Christmas cookies! 🍪 Laughter, creativity, and plenty of frosting made for the perfect ending to a joyful holiday day.

Moments like these are what the season is all about—connection, tradition, and a little extra sparkle. ✨

⭐️ Resident Spotlight: Ann Conway ⭐️

Ann Conway is someone who truly values connection, tradition, and intentional living. Her greatest joy comes from time spent with her children and grandchildren, especially during visits to her family property—a treasured place that has been part of her life since 1937 and holds generations of memories, history, and love.

Ann appreciates structure and routine, takes pride in living a healthy lifestyle, and values her time. She enjoys listening to fellow residents and learning about their lives, always showing genuine interest in their stories and experiences.

In her quieter moments, Ann loves relaxing in her apartment with a good audiobook, continuing her lifelong curiosity and love of learning. She feels deeply supported at Charter, where the staff are kind, attentive, and reliable—especially when helping ensure her doctor appointments are handled with care and ease. Ann feels at peace knowing she is well cared for in such a beautiful community and is grateful to call Charter her home.

🎄✨ What a magical evening at our Family Christmas Gathering! ✨🎄

Our community was filled with joy, laughter, and so many sweet holiday moments. Residents, families, and friends came together to celebrate the season—and the smiles were endless.

And of course… the highlight of the night was a surprise visit from the man in the red suit himself! 🎅❤️ He brought cheer, warmth, and a little Christmas magic to everyone he met.

Today, we’re celebrating the warmth of hands and hearts by decorating our very own Mitten Tree! Every mitten added to our tree isn’t just a decoration; it’s a symbol of love, kindness, and the joy of giving during the chilly winter months.

Everyone is invited to help “warm up” the season by contributing mittens, gloves, or hats to our giving tree. These items will be donated to local shelters and families in need.

Tonight our residents were treated to a heartwarming visit from Girl Scout Troop #3851, and it was pure Christmas magic! 💚❤️

The girls joined us for a festive craft night, helping our residents create adorable Christmas tree decorations. The room was filled with laughter, creativity, and the sweetest moments of connection across generations.

A huge thank you to the troop for sharing their time, kindness, and holiday cheer with us. You truly helped us Enhance the Human Spirit this season. 🎄💕

With the winter weather piling up outdoors, our residents decided to create a little snowy excitement of their own—inside where it’s warm and cozy! Today’s indoor snowball fight was full of laughter, friendly competition, and pure joy.
