The GSM Chorus & Signers performed their annual Christmas Program in the beautiful Manor chapel yesterday. Our thanks to Father Pete for performing Mass prior to the performance. The Chorus & Signers have been practicing for many weeks and yesterday they enthusiastically performed with joy, love and light!

We are also grateful for the many family, friends and Board members who came to join us for this annual tradition. Good Shepherd Manor wishes everyone a safe and wonderful holiday season! Merry Christmas!

With colder weather moving in this weekend, now’s a great time to visit Momence’s Island Park and enjoy the festive holiday trees — including the Good Shepherd Manor tree! Don't forget to vote!

If you miss it before the freeze, don’t worry — warmer temperatures are expected next week, making it a perfect time to stop by and take it all in.

If you haven't already, be sure to stroll through and visit our Island Park Trees this month. The area will be viewable daily until 6:45pm. We have a ballot box posted at the entrance of the footbridge to cast your vote for your favorite!

Today is Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to generosity — and at Good Shepherd Manor, generosity changes lives every single day.

Donations support the men we serve by providing compassionate care, essential health and safety resources, and enriching programs that foster dignity, independence, and community. What makes this day especially meaningful is seeing how clearly each gift makes a difference:

• $300 supports cleaning and sanitation supplies for one group home
• $225 provides a year of personal care and household supplies for one resident
• $120 funds a year of activity supplies in Community Day Services
• $100 covers essential medical and nursing supplies for one resident for a month
• $75 provides a LifeVac safety device for a home or vehicle
• $20 supports birthday and special-occasion supplies for one resident for the year

Every contribution — at any level — directly enriches the daily lives of the men who call Good Shepherd Manor home.

🎄✨ Our Good Shepherd Manor Christmas tree is up at Island Park! ✨🎄

We joined the Momence Park District’s community tree display and got our tree decorated earlier this week—just in time before the heavy winds and snow rolled in! ❄️🌬️

If you’re visiting Island Park, be sure to walk across the footbridge and check out all the beautifully decorated trees (and hopefully spot ours still standing strong!). Snap a photo of our GSM tree and share it with us—we’d love to see it! ❤️
