Last weekend at the Special Olympics Fall Games in Rockford, our team brought home the Silver Medal in their division! We are so proud of their teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship both on and off the court. 💪👏

It’s hard to believe that just a month ago we were soaking up sunshine and enjoying warm September days! ☀️ While it’s feeling much cooler now, we’re remembering the fun we had when our men took advantage of the beautiful weather for a friendly game of bocce ball! 🎯

A perfect day filled with laughter, teamwork, and a touch of competition. 💛

🌼 A big thank you to Uplifted Care, the wonderful hospice group that supports our men when they need it most. 💛

Earlier this week, they stopped by with a special treat for our staff as they prepare to celebrate National Hospice & Palliative Care Month in November — their way of planting seeds of hope. 🌱

There was a fun “dirt cup” dessert bar set up for employees to “dig into!”

Our talented GSM Resident R***e — the chorus program that always brings joy — took the stage at our Fall Festival in September and absolutely shined! 🌟 Their performance was filled with heart, harmony, and happiness.

What a day! 🚒🚜🚓
This past Saturday’s GSM 3rd Annual Touch A Truck was a huge success! It was a beautiful day filled with smiles, sunshine, and excitement as our men and community members explored the many amazing trucks and vehicles that help keep our community running. From fire trucks and semis to farm equipment and tow trucks—there was something for everyone to enjoy!

A heartfelt thank you to all who brought their vehicles, volunteered their time, and joined us for this special day. We can’t wait to do it again next year! ❤️🚚

🎪✨ Carnival Day Fun at GSM! ✨🎪

Our much-anticipated GSM Carnival Day took over Community Day Program recently and what a day it was! 🎉 From games and prizes to our own version of the dunk tank, the excitement never stopped.

The grand finale? 🍰🥧 Pie in the Face! The men voted on staff (and even another resident!) to take a pie straight to the face—and let’s just say the laughter was nonstop. 😆

It was a day filled with joy, memories, and community spirit. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who made this Carnival such a success—we’re already looking forward to next year!

🏐✨ Huge congratulations to our Good Shepherd Manor Special Olympics athletes! ✨🏐

Our volleyball team competed at Regional Volleyball last weekend and brought home the Silver Medal! 🥈 Their hard work, teamwork, and determination truly shined on the court.

We’re so proud to share that the team will be advancing to the Fall Games in Rockford on October 18th & 19th! 🎉👏

Let’s cheer them on as they get ready for the next big stage—Go GSM! 💙💛
