🎄✨ Our Good Shepherd Manor Christmas tree is up at Island Park! ✨🎄

We joined the Momence Park District’s community tree display and got our tree decorated earlier this week—just in time before the heavy winds and snow rolled in! ❄️🌬️

If you’re visiting Island Park, be sure to walk across the footbridge and check out all the beautifully decorated trees (and hopefully spot ours still standing strong!). Snap a photo of our GSM tree and share it with us—we’d love to see it! ❤️

🏀 GSM Basketball Victory! 🏀

What a game! Our Good Shepherd Manor basketball team hit the court against RVSRA and came away with an impressive 49–31 win! 🙌

It was an exciting matchup filled with teamwork, energy, and great sportsmanship all around. Way to go, men — we’re proud of you! 💪👏

🌸 Together, Our Care Blooms! 🌸

Earlier this week, our friends from UpliftedCare stopped by to host a special Employee Appreciation Celebration for GSM staff in honor of National Hospice & Palliative Care Month.

Staff enjoyed creating their own bouquets at the beautiful flower bar, along with snacks, sweet treats, games, and raffles! 🌼

Thank you to UpliftedCare for your partnership and the care you provide to our men — we’re so grateful for your compassion and continued support. 💜

🎳 Special Olympics Sectional Bowling Recap! 🎳

Last month, several of our men competed in the Special Olympics Sectional Bowling competition in Addison — and they did an amazing job!

Several of the men enjoyed their All-Star Lunch earlier this month! 🌟 They earned points and got to choose where they wanted to go out to eat — a well-deserved reward for their hard work and great attitudes!

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes 🇺🇸
The men of Good Shepherd Manor were honored to be invited to a Veterans Day celebration at the Grant Park Community Center. We were humbled to have the opportunity to pay tribute to our veterans and express our gratitude for their service and sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙

🐾🦓 A wild day of fun at Brookfield Zoo! Our men enjoyed seeing all the incredible animals, soaking up the sunshine, and spending time together exploring the exhibits. From the lions to the lemurs — there were smiles all around! 🐒🐘

It’s always a joy to create lasting memories on adventures like these. ❤️
