In the wake of the recent storms in our community, many families and neighbors throughout the area are facing significant loss and damage. Our hearts are with everyone who has been affected.

At Good Shepherd Manor, we are grateful that our homes remain secure. However, several of our dedicated staff members experienced damage to their own homes, vehicles, or property. Despite these personal challenges, many continued to show up to care for and support the men at the Manor with the same compassion and commitment they show every day.

We ask that you keep our staff and all those in the community who were impacted in your prayers during this difficult time. Their dedication in the midst of uncertainty is a true reflection of the heart of the Good Shepherd Manor family.

🎭 Bravo to our talented performers!

Congratulations to the 9 GSM residents who did an amazing job in this past weekend’s Easy Street Theater production of Fairytales & Finales! Their weeks and months of hard work truly paid off during three wonderful performances to a packed house.

We missed Eric M., who was unable to perform due to illness. We know how hard he worked preparing for the show and he was certainly missed.

Great job to everyone involved—we are so proud of you! 🌟👏 Thank you Easy Street Theater!

After 20 years of dedicated service, Jan Jackson recently retired from Good Shepherd Manor. As the Coordinator of Special Events and Public Relations, Jan played an important role in sharing the story and spirit of the Manor with our community.

Her dedication, compassion, and commitment helped create countless meaningful moments. Jan’s work—and the heart she brought to it every day—has left a lasting impact on Good Shepherd Manor.

Jan will be deeply missed by all of us, but we are so grateful for the many years she gave to the Manor. We wish her all the happiness in retirement. ✨

Over the weekend, three of our wonderful athletes represented Good Shepherd Manor in the Special Olympics swimming competition at Stagg High School — and they did an incredible job! 💙💛

🎿🌟 Celebrating Our Special Olympics Athletes! 🌟🎿

We are incredibly proud of our Good Shepherd Manor athletes who represented us at the Special Olympics Winter Games in Galena recently! ❄️🏅

Despite the lack of snow, our athletes gave it their all during the snowshoeing events — proving that determination and heart always shine through, no matter the conditions! ❤️

👏 Andy R. received a participation award for his dedication and effort — a wonderful accomplishment!

🥇 Jeff H. brought home the Gold in his division — an incredible achievement and a true testament to his hard work!

We couldn’t be prouder of both athletes for their sportsmanship, perseverance, and team spirit throughout the three-day event. Way to go, Andy and Jeff! 💪✨
