Structure Fire – Clearwater Drive

In the early morning hours, Monclova Township Firefighters were dispatched to the Clearwater Drive neighborhood for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, Truck 91 encountered heavy smoke and fire showing.

With a truck staffing of four personnel, the crew promptly initiated an aggressive fire attack while the truck officer established command and coordinated assignments for incoming units. The fire was quickly knocked down and brought under control within approximately 10 minutes of arrival, resulting in the majority of the fire damage being confined to the garage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Monclova Township Fire Department in coordination with the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office.

We would like to commend the rapid and professional actions of all responding personnel from Maumee Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Local 4536, Springfield Twp. Fire Dept. Local 3544, and City of Waterville Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 5409 for their effective response and teamwork.
