With IPL I tell patients that the pigment gets much darker before it starts to flake off. This patient showed me the progression of the first few days. Left is before treatment, middle is the day after (!), and right is 4 days after where the dark pigment is starting to flake away. You can wear makeup and do all usual activities while the pigment is coming off which makes IPL essentially zero downtime. 😊

A single session of IPL and 7 days is the difference between these two pictures. ✨️ IPL is a fantastic treatment to "clean up" superficial pigment and brown spots. To prevent the pigment from coming back SPF and 🌞 protection is essential, otherwise you'll be coming back to visit me in a year. 😉
