Hi everyone !! I know it's been forever since I posted here . I guess it's because my journey has kinda changed and I wasn't quite sure what to say about it . Imagine that ?!?! Me .. at a loss for words !! 😂🤣
So by December of 2016 I knew I needed to make a nutrition change for me and husband . I researched paleo , keto and whole 30 because I have PCOS and it's been researched that those eating ways are good for the insulin resistance that makes us ladies with PCOS gain weight or maintain so well . In the end , I decided that traditional keto was too high fat , paleo was too hard and whole 30 was not enough of a life change for us.
I landed on a mix of paleo / keto . Protein intake is always higher than fat and carbs are less than 20g a day . No sugar . No artificial ingredients . We track our day using our macros . And I am proud to say that I have lost 20 pounds since January 9 and my husband has lost 30!!
This is not an easy Lifestyle change , but we love it . We appreciate the taste of food so much more !!! We can eat out , and yes , I'm still doing my Beachbody workouts !
Tonight I had leftover taco meat and eggs. I couldn't decide what to eat so I created a taco omelette !! 2 eggs , 2 egg whites , 2.5 oz taco meat , 1 oz avocado , 1 tbsp sour cream . Drizzle of hot sauce . So filling . So yummy . And so healthy !!
So I'm still here ! I'm still prepping and cooking ... just a little differently now 😍
I'd like to use this page now to kinda blog about this journey ... would you be interested in hearing about it ?? I'll post recipes and pics and talk about our progress . What do you think ???
