The MFL Ambulance Service recently held its annual Appreciation Dinner — an evening dedicated to honoring the dedicated volunteers who make the service possible.

This year’s event recognized two outstanding individuals, Karla Schrader and Jim Schellhorn, for an incredible 40 years of volunteer service. Their long-standing commitment, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to the community serve as a powerful example of what it means to serve others.

The dinner also celebrated the new members who have joined the service within the past year, highlighting the continued growth and strength of the team.

Volunteer EMS plays a vital role in rural communities like those served by MFL Ambulance. These services depend on trained individuals who respond at a moment’s notice — often leaving behind family, work, or rest — to care for their neighbors in times of need.

The members of MFL Ambulance Service are proud to carry forward this tradition. Day or night, rain or shine — they will always answer the call.
