Ever Feel “Off” But Can’t Explain Why?

Let’s talk about the Emotions Wheel — a powerful tool to help you name what you're feeling.

Sometimes we say we’re "mad" or "sad" when, in reality, we're feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, or insecure. The emotions wheel helps break those big feelings into more specific ones so you can better understand your emotional experience and what you need.

Why it matters:
When you can name it, you can tame it.
Knowing exactly what you're feeling is the first step toward healing and healthy communication.

Tip: Try using the emotions wheel at the end of your day. Ask yourself, “What am I really feeling right now?” You might be surprised at the answer.

Feeling overwhelmed by anxious thoughts? Try this grounding technique: When a 'what if' pops into your mind, simply ask yourself, 'What is true right now?'

Focus on the facts instead of the fears to bring yourself back to the present moment.
Remember, anxiety often lives in the future, while calm resides in the now.

You’re human—which means some days are tough, and that’s okay.
Today, try giving yourself the same kindness you’d offer someone you care about. No pressure to be perfect—just be present.

Take a deep breath. Let go of the harsh self-talk.
You’re doing better than you think. And you deserve compassion, especially from yourself. 💛

Keep going. You’ve got this.

We wanted to take the time to shine a spotlight on one of our amazing therapists, Sara Sapp!

Sara has a heart full of compassion, a head full of insight, and a sense of humor that keeps us all smiling—even on the tough days. Whether she’s helping clients navigate life’s twists and turns or cracking a perfectly timed joke, Sara brings light and laughter to the healing process.

Fun facts? She’s obsessed with butterflies 🦋—symbols of growth, change, and new beginnings. It’s no surprise she’s drawn to the transformational power of therapy.
But plot twist: she’s also a huge horror movie fan! From psychological thrillers to jump-scare classics, Sara enjoys a good fright (and yes, she will psychoanalyze the villain by the second act).

We’re so lucky to have someone who can balance deep empathy with a quick wit. Sara reminds us that healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time—sometimes, it can come with laughter, a little weirdness, and a shared love of creepy movies.
