Meet our newest Fire Phiit instructor Julianna, a recent graduate from our Fire Phiit training! Learn more about Julianna below & enjoy her class every Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM!

“My yoga journey began in August 2024. While I had taken and enjoyed classes before, it wasn’t until then that yoga became a consistent part of my routine. As a grad student studying nutrition, I’ve always been passionate about the connection between mind, body, and overall wellness. Stepping into the hot room perfectly reflects that balance for me, I love the feeling of losing myself in a class and after my first Fire Phiit class, I knew I wanted to teach it. The energy, challenge, and sense of community at FCHY instantly drew me in and continues to inspire me every day.

When I’m not in the studio, you can find me at the beach, traveling, spending time with family and friends, or hiking with my dog.”

Can you offer a 60 minute Bikram class?

The short answer: no.

A 60-minute “Bikram” class would essentially be a Vinyasa class with the same sequence of postures every time. What it would lack, however, are the therapeutic and health benefits that the Bikram method is specifically designed to provide.
If your goal is a shorter practice, Vinyasa (and many other yoga styles) offers wonderful health benefits and a dynamic flow that fits beautifully into a 60-minute format.
The original Bikram series, on the other hand, is structured to be 90 minutes. Shortening it to 60 minutes compromises both the integrity of the sequence and the effectiveness of the practice.

BREATHWORK INTO YIN EXPERIENTIAL ✨ Sunday September 28th led by Candace Maisel, LCSW is a trauma therapist in private practice with a specialty in neuroscience-based and alternative approaches. With over 10 years of experience in the field, she recently received her certification in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy, in addition to being certified in EMDR and Brainspotting. During psychedelic training she sought options for a nonmedicinal means of accessing an altered state of conscious, which led her to complete training in Holotropic Breathwork.

Holotropic Breathwork was created by Christina and Stanislav Grof in the 70’s. Stan had been involved in psychedelic research before stumbling upon this technique. The practice is a form of deep rhythmic breathing supported by loud, evocative music and optional body work that allows access to an altered state of consciousness where intrinsic, holistic healing can happen. The breathing is intended to move energy and emotion through the body, offering emotional and physical release; clearing out blockages in mind, body and spirit.

This 90 minute group experiential will be held on Sun 9/28/25 at 4:00 pm $40 per person. Candace will provide an introduction to breathwork, followed by an experiential portion of breathwork, and conclude with yin yoga (no heat). There will be no body work offered to honor boundaries of physical touch.
Please bring with you a yoga mat, water, blanket, and an eye mask to cover your eyes. There will be a limited number of eye masks for sale at the event for $10 each. For the breathwork component, earplugs are recommended if you have sensitive ears. The music is intentionally loud to allow each individual to release energy from their body in an authentic way, without fear of distracting other breathers in the room.
