Meet Your Owner: Dr. Le’Marquez Washington, PharmD
We are proud to introduce one of the pillars here at Parkway Pharmacy South: Dr. Le’Marquez Washington. He is a dedicated community pharmacist, youth mentor, husband, father, and a lifelong product of the Richwood and Monroe area. His heart for service is woven into every part of his story.
Dr. Washington is a proud graduate of Richwood High School, where he finished as Salutatorian of the Class of 2011. He continued his journey at the University of Louisiana Monroe, earning both his Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science (2015) and his Doctor of Pharmacy (2018) degrees. His academic journey was built on discipline, faith, and a deep desire to uplift the community that raised him.
Service has always been at the center of his life. Since 2015, Dr. Washington has poured into the youth of Northeast Louisiana as a volunteer coach for football, baseball, and basketball with the YMCA and the East Ouachita Recreation District. One of his proudest moments was guiding the East Ouachita 9U baseball team to the Dixie Youth World Series in 2022— a testament to his leadership and his belief in investing in the next generation.
Before stepping fully into pharmacy leadership, he spent years working as a server to support himself through school, and later served patients across multiple Walgreens locations in Northeast Louisiana. From 2015–2020, he worked as both a pharmacy intern and pharmacist, including helping open the Desiard Street Walgreens in Monroe.
In August 2020, Dr. Washington became the Pharmacist-in-Charge at My Pharmacy of Monroe, where he proudly served South Monroe with personalized, community-rooted care. In December 2023, he was appointed as a Deacon at St. John Baptist Church in Alto, LA, strengthening his commitment to faith, service, and leadership.
Dr. Washington is married to his college sweetheart, Dr. Jameshia Washington, whom he met in pharmacy school. Together, they are raising their four children — a busy, joyful home filled with love, laughter, sports practices, and everything in between. His family is his motivation, his foundation, and his reminder of why community care matters.

When he’s not in the pharmacy, you can usually find Dr. Washington on a field, a court, or in the stands cheering on the kids — not just his own, but every child in the community. He believes strongly in being present, being consistent, and being someone young people can look up to.
His philosophy is simple:
“Show up, serve well, and leave people better than you found them.”
“To the Richwood and Monroe families—thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and shaping me. This community raised me, taught me, and believed in me long before I wore a white coat. Parkway Pharmacy South located in Richwood is my way of giving back. My promise is to provide care that is personal, compassionate, and rooted in the values we all share: family, faith, and community. I’m here for you, and I’m honored to serve you.”
We invite you to stop by Parkway PharmacySouth, meet Dr. Washington, and experience a pharmacy that treats you like family.
