Diastasis Recti (aka abdominal separation) sounds scary… but here’s the truth 👇
✨ It’s completely normal in full-term pregnancies.
As your baby grows, your abdominal muscles naturally lengthen and separate to make room. It’s not a failure. It’s physiology.
Where things get frustrating is when:
• You still look “pregnant” months later
• You notice doming/coning with workouts
• Your core feels weak or unstable
• You’re dealing with back pain or pelvic floor symptoms
That’s where physical therapy makes a difference.
💪 The goal isn’t just to “close the gap.”
It’s to restore tension, strength, coordination, and real-life function — so you can lift your kids, work out confidently, and feel strong in your body again.
At MOVE Physical Therapy, we specialize in evaluating and treating diastasis with individualized, evidence-based rehab plans — not random ab exercises from the internet.
If you’ve had a baby (recently or years ago) and still feel off in your core… it’s worth getting assessed.
You don’t have to figure it out alone. Give us a call! 💛
