To allow for the replacement culvert over the Mason Run drain, Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing Telegraph Road (US-24) to all traffic beginning 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟗 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎, between Greenfield Avenue and Holiday Boulevard.

⚠️ 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
Traffic will be rerouted using Stewart Road, Monroe and Front Streets. Huber Drive will be CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC during the construction.

Please plan ahead and consider alternate routes, as significant traffic impacts are anticipated.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will fully close Telegraph Rd. (US-24) between Greenfield and Holiday starting Monday, September 29, for a critical infrastructure project.

📍𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐞
Instead of Front Street, traffic will now detour via Dunbar. See attached map.

🛠️𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭
MDOT is replacing the 50-year-old culvert over the Mason Run Drain to ensure the long-term safety and structural integrity of Telegraph Rd. Additional work includes:
✔️ Relocating sanitary sewer and natural gas lines
✔️ Preparing for future sidewalk expansion (planned for 2026)

⏳𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞?
A 3-week full closure allows the project to be completed efficiently and safely. Without it, construction could stretch into 2–3 months, risking delays during the holiday shopping season.

🛍️ Local businesses will remain open during construction!

Significant traffic impacts are expected. Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, follow all posted detours and remain patient.
