✨ Meet The Team Monday ✨

Next up on our list— we have our physical therapist, Avery Dabbs! Avery graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has been a physical therapist for 7 years. She has worked with adults and children, but pediatrics is where her heart resides.

Fun facts about Avery:
* During the week, you can find her slinging weights at Tribe31 Training! 💪🏼
* She is an adjunct faculty member and a clinical instructor at ULM Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
* She is on the Board of Directors for The Junior League of Monroe, a CASA for Northeast Louisiana, and she volunteers at Med Camps!
* Avery is from North Carolina, but she moved to Louisiana in 2018. 📦
* During football & baseball season, her and her husband, Thomas, enjoy cheering on the Mississippi State Bulldogs! ❤️
* She is the only Pediatric Clinical Specialist PT in NELA!

We love having Avery on our team! She is full of positive energy and it radiates like the sun. Her bubbly personality is irreplaceable!

✨ Meet The Team Monday ✨

Starting off strong with the leader of the pack, Anna Dearman. Anna is the owner of Prosper Therapy and Feeding Solutions. She has been an occupational therapist for 15 years. She has worked in all fields during her OT journey, but pediatrics has her heart!

Fun facts about Anna:
• She is an also IBCLC! 🍼👶🏼 She is the only licensed OT and IBCLC in North Louisiana!
• She is a cantor in choir at church, so you might hear her singing around the clinic. 🎶
• She is a course instructor for Fed The Peds! ✨
• She was recently invited to be a member of the OT advisory board for graduate programs. 📚
• She plays musical instruments such as the piano and guitar. 🎵
• Anna’s husband, Adam, is a baseball and football coach at Sterlington High School, so you can find her cheering on the panthers on Friday nights! 🐾

We absolutely love Anna & look forward to coming to work at Prosper Therapy everyday because of her! Her intelligence is remarkable and we are so thankful to work beside her!

👅Watch this baby’s suck before and after tongue tie release 👅Before release, maintaining a seal was difficult.
After release, you can see improved organization, a stronger non-nutritive suck pattern, and better ability to maintain a seal.

Pre-release therapy is an important part of the process because it helps address compensation patterns, tension, and poor coordination that may otherwise persist after the procedure.

This is why we assess function before making a referral for release, not just anatomy.
