Trigger point injections are a great way to address areas of muscle within which knots, also known as trigger points, are present. These knots can be felt through the skin's surface, and when touched they may twitch involuntarily, thus irritating and trapping nearby nerves which in turn causes referred pain. Trigger point injections can be used to treat various muscle groups throughout the body such as those in the arms, legs, lower back and neck. They are often utilized to treat fibromyalgia, chronic tension headaches and Myofascial Pain Disorder that doesn't respond to other treatments. The procedure itself is quick and easy; it usually lasts no more than 5 minutes and patients remain conscious throughout. A small needle is inserted into the trigger point area followed by a local anesthetic or local anesthetic with steroid injection - both of which will help to reduce pain. Contact us today to find out if you're a candidate for trigger point injections for pain relief. https://lapaincare.com/trigger-point-injections/

The mild® Procedure is a short, outpatient treatment for lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) that restores space in the spinal canal to help improve back and leg pain. Using specialized tools and imaging, mild® addresses a major root cause of LSS by removing thickened ligament through an incision smaller than the size of baby aspirin, leaving no implants behind, only a Band-Aid. This restoration aims to decrease pressure on compressed nerves. The procedure may be an appropriate treatment for patients experiencing lower back numbness and pain. Please contact Louisiana Pain Care to determine if you are a candidate for the mild® Procedure.

Are you suffering from pain due to spinal stenosis? Spinal Stenosis occurs when the canal around your spinal cord and nerve roots narrows, which most often happens due to age-related degeneration of the spine or traumatic injury to the spine. As the canal narrows, it can press on your nerves, causing pain, numbness, and weakness. Symptoms may increase over time. But there are treatments available. Contact Louisiana Pain Care today to learn more. https://lapaincare.com/back-pain/

Understanding how body weight affects pain can help patients take a more empowered role in their treatment plan.

Chronic pain can feel like an unrelenting cycle — discomfort limits movement, reduced activity leads to weight gain, and extra weight places more strain on the body, worsening pain. While weight loss is not a cure-all, even modest, sustainable weight reduction can significantly improve chronic pai...

Harnessing the Body's Natural Healing Power with Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a cutting-edge treatment that leverages the body's natural healing capabilities. PRP is produced by concentrating the platelets found naturally in a patient's blood. During a simple same-day procedure, physicians at Louisiana Pain Care are able to isolate platelet-Rich Plasma from a small blood sample and inject it directly into injured or damaged tissues. If you have been struggling with chronic musculoskeletal pain, such as tendinopathy or joint inflammation, that has not responded to conventional therapies, PRP may offer a promising solution. To determine your eligibility and options for PRP, contact our office today to schedule a consultation. Our providers will evaluate your unique medical history and symptoms to develop a customized treatment plan tailored to your needs. https://lapaincare.com/regenerative-medicine/

Are you a candidate for epidural steroid injections? Are you experiencing neck, shoulder, or arm pain due to a pinched nerve in your cervical or lumbar spine? Common causes include herniated disks, spinal stenosis, or radiculopathy. An epidural steroid injection may provide relief. During this procedure, an anti-inflammatory medication is administered into the epidural space surrounding the spinal nerves. This acts to decrease pressure and swelling, which may be exacerbating pain. Epidural steroid injections have been shown to successfully reduce inflammation and the associated pain. If you have been suffering from chronic back, neck, or leg pain, an epidural steroid injection could help. To determine if you may benefit from this treatment option, please contact Louisiana Pain Care to schedule a consultation. We would be pleased to evaluate your condition and discuss whether epidural injections may help provide relief for your spinal pain. https://lapaincare.com/epidural-injections/
