We asked our residents and staff the most scientific Thanksgiving question of all time:
What’s your favorite side dish?
The results were... revealing.

Sweet potatoes: You’re sweet, cozy, and probably the one who brings blankets to movie night.
Mac and cheese: You’re here for a good time, not a long time — and you definitely go back for seconds.
Stuffing: You have strong opinions about how Thanksgiving “should be,” and honestly… you’re probably right.
Cranberry sauce: You’re the wildcard who shows up to the party with something unexpected — and somehow it always works.
Green bean casserole: You’re the level-headed one who keeps the group from chaos. Or at least tries.
Homemade noodles: You give “grandma energy,” even if you’re not a grandma. Pure comfort. Zero nonsense.

Today she snuck into the kitchen for a “chef moment,” carving into a perfectly roasted chicken—while our beloved Ohio Living Swan Creek mascot Swanny watched on in absolute shock. The Bruce F. and Dorothy J. Henry Ohio Living Cape May Memory Center of Excellence is officially open! Made possible through the generous support of longtime Clinton County residents who recognized the urgent need for local memory care services, the center is the first-of-its-kind in the area. It features 21 assisted living-style rooms, a dedicated courtyard for residents, and will implement the Hearthstone Institute’s renowned “I’m Still Here” approach.

At 17, Ronald Hager joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. On Nov. 13, as an Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice patient, he finally took his Honor Flight from Columbus to Washington, D.C. Along with visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Ronald toured memorials honoring every branch of the military, witnessed the Changing of the Guard at Arlington, and saw iconic landmarks including the White House, and Lincoln and Washington Memorials. Leyla Zickau, Executive Director – Holdings of Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice, accompanied him as his guardian, with T. Marzetti Company generously covering the cost of her flight.
