In our yoga practice, we learn that balance isn’t just something we find on the mat — it’s something we create in our lives.

Unplugging from the constant noise, scrolling, and stress is an essential part of caring for our nervous system. When we step away from the demands of the outside world, we give ourselves space to breathe, soften, and return to what truly matters.

Yoga reminds us to listen inward, to move with intention, and to honor rest as much as effort. Taking time to unplug — even briefly — allows the practice to deepen, the mind to quiet, and the body to restore.

This is your reminder to pause. To put the phone down. To breathe fully. To show up for yourself with compassion and presence — on the mat and beyond.

We’re organizing a small group to volunteer and serve dinner at the Oaks of Righteousness Homeless Shelter in Monroe.

When: Wednesday, February 11
What time: Dinner served at 6:00 PM
Please arrive by 5:40 PM to help with setup and serving.
Where: Oaks of Righteousness Shelter
1018 E. 2ND ST. MONROE, MI 48161

This is a beautiful opportunity to come together, give back, and support our neighbors with compassion and care. No special experience needed—just a kind heart and willingness to help.

I’m so excited to be partnering with Monroe Community College to offer two upcoming yoga classes through their Lifelong Learning Department. These classes focus on gentle movement, strength, flexibility, balance, and stress relief in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Yoga For Beginners – Tuesday Evenings
February 3 – March 10
5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Held at the studio
$99 | Senior Rate: $55.50
This class is perfect for beginners, those new to yoga, or anyone looking to slow down, move safely, and build confidence in their practice.
