Recently made an Amazing Grace plaque, a set of Colts slate coasters and a Serving tray made from walnut, cherry, maple and purpleheart. All these were donated to the Boys & Girls Club auction.

Customer was looking for an unique gift for his five year (Wood) anniversary gift. I made this plaque from quarter sawn white oak and engraved a handwritten letter. The tree and hearts are made from birch and represent their wedding date and their children. It brought tears to his wife's eyes. I also engraved two wooden spatulas with a special message.

I was a freshman in college and can still replay every detail of that tragic day, September 11th, 2001. So....

Today, and every day we remember the events of 9/11.

We remember the parents who unknowingly put their kids on the bus and went into work for the final time.

We remember the innocent people who boarded a plane not knowing they would never come home.

We remember the firefighters who marched up countless flights of stairs knowing they would never come back down.

We remember the days and months that followed where we were all unified as ONE nation, under God.

We remember the soldiers who would go on to pay the ultimate sacrifice in the wars that ensued.

We remember those who battled, and continue to battle illnesses related to the events of that day.

We remember the families who continue to reap the loss of their loved ones.

We Will Never Forget September 11th, 2001.

UPDATED: What started as an idea and a few pictures from the internet turned into this rough sketch. Those sketches became this custom quilt rack. Made from black walnut with copper colored rungs.
Customer sent me pictures of the quilt rack installed on their wall with some beautiful quilts. Also the decor on top is also an REM piece.
